Situated on Liverpool Street, this place is really tiny so I would recommend booking in advance. The dishes are meant to be shared, they are small and full of flavour. Do check out the specials on the counter as on our visit they had 2 yummy dishes, sweet potatoes and pork in miso which was just fantastic. A must have dish is the Agedashi tofu, it was so tender. We also had the chicken wings and the Indigo Croquettes, both are yummy. The pickles are worth trying. Last was the school prawns which was my least favourite. They are known for their sake, they even have loyalty cards for it. There is so much on the menu to try, I can’t wait to go back to try more dishes.
A true hidden gem in Darlinghurst. This authentic Japanese restaurant and sake bar is perfect for a romantic dinner. The fresh sashimi, premium sake, and warm service were all excellent. It’s only 5 minutes away from Kings Cross Station, making it a great date spot.
Very local Japanese restaurant in Surry Hills. Surprisingly delicious and the price is not too high up. The seating is limited but the whole vibe is just right 👌🏼 The food is awesome and you cannot go wrong with the menu. It’s very special and a nice place to catch up with your best friends.
Close, cosy, attentive staff and the best food. Dined on the 7/11/25 and was not disappointed at all. Had wanted to dine here for quite some time and a booking is essential. Greeted with smiles and a welcoming guide through the menu. Which has a wide variety of house specialties plus additional daily features. Being a Kokushu/Nihonshu/Sake specialist you are not disappointed for selections or the presentation of the menu.😉 The Orion beer on tap was very refreshing and a great and only option. Stand out dishes : Fire fly squid The duck The house miso pickled vegetables And The clams. If you haven’t been…. You should!!!!!
Amazing food and service. Absolutely loved it. Bar table space is quite tight tho, feeling a little squeezed but overall a great experience! Definitely recommend.
