Visited this Japanese restaurant recently and honestly everything we ordered was beautifully presented and super fresh. The sashimi platter was definitely the highlight the cuts were thick, fresh, buttery, and served on ice with elegant garnishes that made the whole dish feel premium. The salmon and tuna tasted incredibly fresh and melted in the mouth. We also tried the grilled skewers which had a smoky char and rich flavour. The mustard and onion topping added a nice balance without overpowering the meat. The edamame was simple but addictive, perfectly seasoned with a slightly smoky flavour. Even the cucumber side dish was refreshing and paired really well with the heavier dishes. I also liked how clean and minimal the presentation was. The earthy ceramic plates and fresh leaves gave everything a rustic Japanese aesthetic that looked amazing for photos. Portions were satisfying and the overall dining experience felt relaxed and enjoyable. Service was friendly, food came out nicely paced, and the quality matched the price. Definitely a spot I’d come back to for fresh sashimi and well prepared Japanese dishes.

It's our first time trying here as it was recommended to me by a collegue, and it was actually an amazing experience! My Aunt and I both love sashimi and tried their assorted set, and it did not disappoint. You could tell that they use fresh ingredients. The izakaya set was also great, we got to try different selections rather than buying it individualy. The highlight for me was the Eggplant with Miso, the Pork Tonkatsu, and the black sesame mochi. The balance between the crunchiness and softness of the eggplant was amazing, the pork was absolutely juicy and really great on it's own, the mochi was soft and chewy. I was absolutely satisfied, I couldn't find any fault on the wait staffs and the receptionist. They were all courteous and attentive to all the guest's needs. I would definitely recommend the place, and gladly go back with friends or my partner.

The food is really superb! Recommend MUSHROOM CLAYPOT RICE, chicken meatballs! Service was nice! But … Atmosphere was not good at all. Noise constant noise, no way to talk at all, I wish I had something to close my poor ears. I really do not remember ever being in restaurant where was so loud. So I could not wait to run out bc in the street is less loud.

Fantastic experience. The most impressive was definitely the service, they’re so nice and so organized despite being slammed with reservations. The servers seem very happy to be here. Definitely make a reservation in advance, as it was full on a Wednesday night. Was happy to wait though. I got their wagyu steak and oysters, and the Apple miso drink. The oysters come with a wasabi oil that has the taste of wasabi without the crazy spice, it’s perfect. I recommend this spot for special occasions or a nice date. It’s definitely a treat-yourself spot, and rightfully so!

Booked this place for our special day, ie anniversary and definitely over achieved. We probably should get married all over again with the special treatment we got! Memorable 👍🏼 food was fantastic. Had the edamame,karrage, chicken meatballs, wagyu udon and lip smacking miso caramel ice cream.. everything was spot on . The flavours and taste is fresh and light.The ambience was fun, nice music and great service. April our waitress was fantastic in recommendations and attitude. We absolutely were spolit and we thank the team at Cho cho san. All the best and see you again
