the food was very deliciouss!! generous portions made with high quality ingredients at affordable prices ($10-35), staff were very friendly too! the restaurant is conveniently located near the train station and meals were prepared very quickly which is perfect for meals on the go. must recommend the beef tongue don!! the beef tongue was super tender and topped with the perfect amount of yakiniku sauce.
We tried their salmon sashimi soba salad & grilled king salmon don for lunch. The salmon sashimi was soo fresh! I was told that they use wild-caught salmon (not farmed-raised salmon) & surely the taste is superior. The staff were very friendly & helpful. Would definitely return.
I have eaten at this Dopa location at Victoria Cross more than ten times, but today was definitely the last time I will ever spend money here. I ordered a takeaway pork katsu curry don, and they forgot to include the curry. This is not even the first time this has happened at this store. A few months ago, I ordered a curry don for takeaway, then changed my mind and decided to eat it in the restaurant. When I opened it, there was no curry. At the time, I thought it was just a rare mistake. But today, it happened again. Dopa, is this seriously how you prepare your food? Do your staff receive even the most basic training? Do they understand that a curry don is supposed to come with curry? I got home, opened my takeaway, and was ready to have dinner — only to find a bowl of dry rice and pork with no curry at all.
Very good food! I have tried the Pork Katsu and Chicken Teriyaki combo. Cassandra at the store adjacent to Victoria Cross station was very kind and helpful! Would recommend any time!
The food was delicious & the portion was quite generous. The staffs were very helpful & friendly. Will definitely come back to try on the other menus!
