Izakaya Samurai is such a great spot! Super cosy dining experience. The spicy ramen had a super yummy creamy broth and delicious tender beef. Felt immediately welcomed into this place with big smiles. The staff were super attentive and lovely. Great menu to explore next time, we will be back 😍✨ Thank you!
Like many have mentioned, the staff here are wonderful and helpful. They're also well aware that vegetarians mean no seafood or katsuobushi in miso soup. I thoroughly enjoyed my teriyaki tofu gourmet set 💕 They could also customise the shio ramen and shoyu ramen for vegetarians. Will be back again!

This establishment consistently surpasses my expectations, leaving me with a smile each time I dine here. I highly recommend it to Japanese food enthusiasts who appreciate outstanding cuisine and warm hospitality. A special thanks to Shinya-san, the owner, for creating these magical moments. I’m already looking forward to returning, next time with my son, three-year-old son, who is also a big fan of Izakaya Samurai!!
You get so so much food with the katsu curry set meal and it is absolutely delicious! Even getting takeaway the food is thoughtfully packed and we didn't expect to receive this much food and at this level of taste and quality. This is now our new favourite go to in the area. Their katsu curry reminds me of what I've had in Tokyo 😍
This well-hidden Japanese restaurant has been our favourite for years now whenever we cross the harbour bridge to visit the area. The menu is extensive but we always get the sets because it allows us to sample a bit of everything. First thing I would like to point out is how great the bowl of rice was, every grain had the right texture. The mixed tempura had a nice light batter. I was also impressed with the way the sashimi was cut and the form of their nigiri, as well as the fish/rice ratio that produced the right flavour balance. Overall, the flavours are spot on and the portions are generous as I recall the time when I got a mountain of sea urchin topping on our donburi!
