Feels like stepping back in time. I went to high school here decades ago and used to grab this all the time, amazing that it still tastes exactly the same, delicious as ever, with a nice Japanese street-food vibe. Definitely a hidden gem. Prices are very reasonable too, great value for what you get.

Staying in the area and first time to Kabocha. Loved the food! We had the beef teri Don and shoyu ramen. Food was well priced and generous portions, highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic food! If you’re not a local, you wouldn’t know. This place is worth its value - the chicken katsu don $16 - it’s so good!! :)

A hidden gem in the heart of Neutral Bay. If you are looking for no frills and delicious Japanese comfort food, look no further than Kabocha Takeaway. I had the chicken katsu don and it was super delicious. The chicken thigh fillets were tender and freshly fried and the egg mixture was perfectly cooked and still runny. The eat in area inside is small but sufficient for a quick meal and the open kitchen lets you hear and see your food being made. Will definitely be back to try all the other comfort dishes on offer!

This no-frills kitchen is the place local Japanese people choose when they don’t want to cook. Great value and even better food. Maybe among the best tasting Ramen in Sydney. Dog friendly outside tables protected from the wind.
