Food was great. (Rice was a bit meh) But we won't be back. This is the second time we've been here and it has gone so bad. When you come in the place there is the smell of oil that's seeped into the shop. It could be perceived as charming, until you see the state of the place. Zero care has been given to the cleanliness of the place. Stains all over the floor, rubbish not picked up, as if there are no regular maintenance. Water bottle has stains and residue, we didnt dare drink from it. The drinking cups were oily and the cutleries are questionable. We don't want to think about what the kitchen is like. Please show some care about the cleanliness. It's a shame that a place with such good food can leave a bad taste.
We have been trying new places in neutral bay as we just moved in - thought we give this a go. Firstly our ramen had one piece of pork in it. The bento box was cold, my katsu was cold and the dumplings were undercooked and cold. Really disappointing. Wouldn’t recommend
I've been slowly making my way through Neutral Bay/Cremornes Japanese restaurants. This one is always open late (until 1130pm). Reliable Katsu and ramen spot. Part of a chain, they've also got onto in the Sussex street food court. Reasonably priced, quick and friendly service. A few hipster menu items and definitely catering to more western audiences than some other nearby spots. Definitely worth checking out if your looking for some noodles after hours. I went with the EAK ramen and dumplings. Broth was good, noodles decent, good self serve pickles, condiments and miso. My only gripe was the raw red onion garnish, very irregular and sometimes a bit of a mouthful. The Katsu Curry is definitely their signature dish, seemed very popular also. Would go for that next time.
Such an amazing staff and equally amazing food. Totally my new go to place!
I have ordered from this restaurant countless times on Uber Eats, and they have always done a great job. However, this time when I opened the food, I immediately noticed black specks that looked very much like cigarette ash.when I was halfway through eating, I also found a hair in the food. Since I naturally have curly hair and my hair is not this short, I am certain that it was not my hair.
