Authentic Japanese restaurant with a great atmosphere. The sashimi was incredibly fresh, and every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. Friendly service and a genuine Japanese dining experience.
The food was absolutely amazing. The sashimi was incredibly fresh and literally melted in my mouth. The manager took the time to explain each type of sashimi so well, which made the experience even more enjoyable and special. Everything we tried was delicious, and all the staff were so kind and attentive. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, and I would highly recommend this sushi restaurant.
I had lunch here fresh medium sashimi $40 which had many varieties and fresh. Sushi train food was simple not as much varieties. Overall feel like good place if you are in the area in a mood to have sashimi. Good value for money we thought
Absolutely outstanding experience at Kokumai Barangaroo! We had the omakase for two and it was nothing short of incredible. The servings were extremely generous, the seafood was exceptionally fresh, and every dish was packed with flavour. We left completely satisfied and very full. The service was just as impressive. The staff were warm, polite, and genuinely attentive throughout the meal. A special mention to the head chef, who took the time to explain each dish and its ingredients. It added so much depth to the experience and made the evening feel personal and memorable. If you’re looking for top-tier affordable omakase in Barangaroo ,Sydney with amazing food and hospitality to match, Kokumai is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back!
The food was very average. The sushi isn't particularly great, but it's ok. Sashimi was tasteless and poor quality. Not sure who's idea it was to put soft cheese into a sushi roll, but it's quite unpleasant. The black sushi rolls are actually pretty decent. Not much in the way of drinks on offer. Service staff were attentive and friendly. Food is too pricey for the quality. Won't return.
