Komaru is quite a hidden gem - a small local japanese restaurant ran by a wonderful husband and wife team. I have been coming for years and the food is consistently extremely fresh (as expected for proper japanese cuisine) authentic and most humble. It almost feels like you are at a friend‘s home for dinner.

Excellent, simple and delicious - most importantly though it’s consistent. Greatly appreciate the constantly changing specials too. People who have rated this poorly and feel this isn’t good Japanese food are clueless and should stick to sushi hub. This is exceptional quality and I highly recommend.

I can’t believe I forgot to review this! Such a hidden gem that only locals know about. I felt like I stepped into Japan for a moment! The owners are polite, the menu has interesting items (I enjoyed the cubed sushi as well as nigiri) and everything was beautifully presented. You can really see the love for the art of sushi. Prices aren’t too bad considering the suburb and quality.

We tried few times to get dinner here but place was always full, so this time we made sure we book in advance. I recommend you do the same as food is good and there is just about 20 sits inside. Ambiance is cozy and service was quick. For us highlight was fried white bait and noodles were delicious. Would return to have them again
