Saw great reviews and tiktoks but my experience was a little different… Starting with the sides: Kimchi cabbage tastes odd. Not typical kimchi sour and mild spicy taste. There was another kimchi vegetable which was very good however I do not know what it was. Self serve miso soup and water available and other sides such as pickled radish. Prices for food here more on the premium side. For the prices I was expecting at least more rice or larger bowls. The pork katsu in my donkatsu don tastes dry. Meat needs more seasoning / sauce. Teokbokki - small serving for the prices. Was too salty and could not finish it. At least the fried chicken is a redeeming quality - juicy and tender. We got snowy cheese flavour and they were over-zealous with the seasoning because it was a bit too salty with all the powder stacked atop.
Had a really enjoyable meal at Makanai Donkotsu Ramen. The broth was rich and comforting, with plenty of flavour, and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The portion size was generous and the toppings were fresh. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. Overall, a great spot for a warm, satisfying bowl of ramen. I’ll definitely be coming back again.
No wonder my best friend recommends this restaurant. It’s just so good. You have to come and taste the Tonkatsu yourself and know why people give 5 stars. The staff came and make sure we chose the menu conveniently. You will get free flow miso soup, water, and banchan (kimchi, danmuji, etc) on their station. I will definitely come back to try Rose Rabboki next time.
It's pram friendly as we walked inside and was greeted by friendly staff. You order by the tablet and food came out fast. I ordered their Ramen specialty of level 8 (expert) and it was quite spicy. It goes up to level 15!! You also get side dishes and miso soup as condiments. The tteokbokki dish was generous. If you want to test your spice level - come try it out here!!
One of the best ramen spots I’ve tried! The tonkotsu ramen was rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I also loved the self-serve side dishes, which added a nice variety to the meal. The staff were friendly, the service was quick, and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. If you’re looking for authentic, delicious ramen, I highly recommend Makanai Donkotsu Ramen. I’ll definitely be back!
