😍✨Amazing happy hour value food & drink combo comes together! 👀(Staring from $15/set!) 🍔Highlight to the Wagyu Mochi Burger is unlike anything else in Sydney. Also Mamasaan dessert likes the mochi mango absolutely yummy! 🥭 Friendly staff, relaxed vibe. Will be back!
I visited Mamasaan on a Sunday evening and had a fantastic experience. The Japanese fusion menu is creative and full of bold, well-balanced flavours, with great vegetarian options. We started with a spicy tequila-based cocktail featuring chilli in the ice cube—unique and delicious. The lotus chips and spicy edamame were generous and tasty. The Chicken Karaage was a standout—crispy, juicy, and full of flavour. Also loved the shiitake mushroom tacos and sushi with wasabi and ginger. The Mamasaan Ume curry with vegetable croquettes had a rich, aromatic blend of spices and was very satisfying. Dessert was a highlight—the mango mochi with cold sorbet and warm coconut cream was perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. Great food, lovely ambience, and excellent overall experience. Definitely a must-visit in Bondi!
Such a wonderful day! Today I decided to change things up by going to Bondi to work. Suddenly I found hidden gems even for people like me "1 person" hahaaa. What I was quite surprised about was that the cocktail was made perfectly according to what I described, especially when she said the cocktail was customized according to me! How amazing it is right? Maybe, I would fall in love with her if she were a man! Not only that, the food here is extremely delicious, I thought the food would be enough for me... BUT NO!!! So much that I had to look twice :))) The mayo sauce made in tacos and chicken feels very different from other places I've eaten, not too greasy and very flavorful for the main dish. This shop did a great job today! Wish I knew this place sooner. Next time I'll bring you along to try the remaining dishes, because I can't eat many dishes at the same meal alone~~ Btw, dont miss the live band in every sunday, so good and so sad if I miss it hahaa
I've always seen this place as a bar for the throngs "of a certain age" that can afford to live in these parts. The food steps up to the plate, and gets on base more often than not. The kingfish is a standout, with generous fish finding an inspiringdressing. The cucumber a decent attempt to get the kimchi vibes, but the cauliflower falls flatter than than a grey day's optimism. The cauliflower is either frozen or just overcooked. And the coating lends nothing to the equation. It certainly doesnt need more fat, in the form of a good mayo. The service sparkles, and by the look of the crowd, those of my vintage are about to let loose, before the kiddies make them feel their age, across the street.
Walked past and they were handing out chicken karaage for free. It was so good I sat down and had a pint for $10 and the chicken. Really can’t get much better than that. I wasn’t having a full dinner but the menu did look great!
