I found this place after Uni and was in need of a quick lunch. It was so delicious, very impressed and satisfied. The Salmon was melt in your mouth and very fresh. The Aburi Salmon Nigiri was freshly blow torched and had great flavour. Service was great and I had a great first time experience. I will be coming back again!
Visited for dinner as a party of three. We were greeted by friendly and polite staff and shown to our table promptly. Menus were provided, and ordering was done via QR code. While the system itself was straightforward, I am personally not a fan of QR-code ordering and prefer ordering directly with staff, as it makes for a more engaging dining experience. I did not ask whether staff ordering was available, so I cannot confirm if alternatives are offered. The menu is varied, with options to suit different tastes. Food arrived promptly after ordering, and staff checked in to confirm all dishes had been received, which showed good attentiveness. The restaurant is quite large, with many tables that can accommodate different group sizes, including larger groups. One issue that stood out was table cleanliness. Our table had dried streaks and felt slightly sticky, likely from cleaning solution, and was not fully clean. Clean tables are a basic expectation for me. When water cups were brought out, they were placed face down directly onto the table surface, which I was uncomfortable with, so I chose not to drink from the cup. The food was good, but not exceptional. Prices were reasonable for the quality provided. The atmosphere inside is relaxed, upbeat, and trendy, attracting mostly young people, young professionals, and couples. While children are allowed, this does not feel like a family-oriented venue. There is no dedicated space for kids, and it would not be suitable for children who are noisy or need room to play, as it would likely disturb other patrons. The restaurant is located on a corner with glass walls, which creates a bright interior, but the external view includes traffic and a nearby stairwell that was untidy and detracted from the experience. This appears to be outside the restaurant’s control, as it is a council-managed area. In terms of accessibility, the entrance appears suitable for wheelchair access; however, access would likely require being dropped off directly in front of the restaurant, as there is no accessible entry from the western side due to stairs. I am not certain about nearby drop-off zones. I did not use the restrooms, so I cannot comment on their condition or accessibility. Overall, friendly service and reasonable pricing, but improvements in table cleanliness and a more personable ordering experience would significantly enhance the visit.
The food that we ordered was pretty good. We like it. Waiting time was not too long for us as we came early. The only downside was people smoking outside the queue while we were queuing. And most of the staff that work in Mikazuki either smokes or vapes.
Always a fantastic experience at Mikazuki Parramatta! The menu has a great variety, from fresh sashimi and creative sushi to their incredibly rich, comforting ramen. The presentation is always beautiful, the ingredients feel high-quality, and the service is fast and friendly. It’s got a great, lively atmosphere—definitely one of the top Japanese spots in Parramatta. Highly recommend!
Good food with good portions. I've come to this branch multiple times and the food is something you can count on to be great. The poke bowls were massive and the restaurant was generous with the salmon. Tempura was well cooked and the dipping sauce is good. My favourites are the garlic butter wagyu bowl and the chicken katsu curry
