Great location, lovely setting and interior (love the records) and the food was delicious and well cooked. Prawn toast took me by surprise, was expecting the traditional ones made with regular bread. Very nice. Everything was good, can't complain there. Service was okay, expected a bit more for a place of this calibre. Our server was nice but some others looked a bit grumpy and the drinks order was late for one drink and forgotten for another.

We visited Rekodo for a special anniversary from Melbourne. Overall the food was incredible and worth every cent. Delicate, flavoursome and well thought out. They have some amazing chefs there, so its worth it for that. Where the night was let down was its service unfortunately. It started well as we were warmly welcomed and even were given some some complimentary sparkling due to our anniversary which was a lovely touch. However, after we ordered we barely saw our waitress, food was super slow (I think all up it took 90 minutes to get out 5 small share plates), and no follow up or asking if we were ok or even an apology for how long things were taking. Also, not that we minded, but we kept filling up our own wine glasses from our pricey bottle purchased, and noone came and asked if we would like Sake or even if we wanted the bill. I feel like we were kind of left to our own devices as staff seemed to leave and there was a skeleton staff at like 9.30pm. Additionally the music was a weird choice, 60's music didnt fit the vibe which felt very cool/dance tunes, it felt like someone just put on their favourite music and wasnt thought out. Normally I would not recommend people to go based off pretty poor service but the food was incredible. They just need to sort out being attentive and making people feel seen and special and we would return.

I enjoyed the food here. It was different that I expected, as dishes are served to share at your table. We ordered the Wagyu steak, the Crispy Barramundi, and the Duck, as well as the Eggplant, Steamed Rice, and a Prawn Skewer. The skewer was a bit disappointing as I thought it was a skewer of prawns, but it was only 1 prawn on the skewer for $15, which was delicious but a bit pricy in my opinion. The steak was cooked very well, and the duck and fish were delicious. The eggplant was fantastic and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed that. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful with ordering, and made sure we had a chance to order any additional food before the kitchen closed that night. Looking back I wish we had just elected to do the Chef's experience. My only complaint (and its more of a personal preference) was that it was extremely loud. They have a live DJ playing music, and the seating is pretty packed. So everyone is practically yelling at each other to carry on a conversation and you hear everything going on around you. Like I said, this was just unexpected on my end and typically prefer quiet places. This was a fun experience though, and is great if you are into those type of club like restaurants.

Redoko Restaurant and Vinyl Bar is an absolute standout—easily 5 stars. The atmosphere is fantastic, with a unique blend of great food and a curated vinyl soundtrack that really sets the mood. The staff are attentive and genuinely welcoming, making the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. The food is beautifully presented and full of flavour, clearly crafted with care and quality ingredients. Whether you’re there for a meal, drinks, or just to soak up the vibe, Redoko delivers on all fronts. Highly recommend.

This place is amazing. Love the cozy soft colourful vibe from the tinted windows and down lighting. Music was nice too. Lunch was a little loud to begin with but they adjusted. The vinegarette quick comes with the carpaccio, sushimi and wagyu beef is dynamite and makes me want more.
