Great menu suitable for couple or large group - very reasonable prices and quality sashimi cuts and well seasoned sushi rice w/ generous sized fish on the nigiri. Teishoku sets are great value ~$25 w/ a few side dishes. Korean style hot pot soups are great too. Liked their udon, soba and ramen too. Only thing I didn’t like was the Futomaki - too big and too much egg and sauce in it. Overall great place for a casual feed when craving Japanese. Will def return!
Sashimi fish quality was very good, each piece was tender and fresh. Did not find any stringy bits. Salmon and kingfish slices were especially good in my opinion. I love how their curry in katsu curry is thick and has some texture rather than just being a sauce. The pork katsu could’ve been a tiny bit more juicy and tender. The chicken katsu was better, maybe a 8.5/10 tenderness score. The katsu was crispy with its crumbing and not too oily. The sweet potato cheese sticks are quite unique; like a mozzarella stick with sweet potato inside. I thought their meal sets were good value; comes with an assortment of sides such as miso soup, salad, pickles/kimchi/ sides. The amount of katsu/meat they give is generous and its overall a very filling and hearty meal. I can see the owner puts in a lot of effort in maintaining a strictly clean and tidy store, which is always a good sign to any customer walking in. Their service is friendly and the food comes out decently fast.
Every single dish was delicious, and the restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly, so it was a lovely evening meal.
Great new place with quality food at affordable prices. We really enjoyed our lunch in a clean and calm atmosphere. Will definitely come again.
First visit and it didn't disappoint. The Soba To katsu set with Korean sides and influence was fantastic. Bouncy, chewy soba noodles. Crunchy and flavourful Pork Katsu and the Sushi was fresh and delicious. Large pieces of fish with a small amount of rice. Absolutely perfect. The Tonkotsu Ramen was fragrant and rich in flavour. The Chasu just melts in your mouth with zero effort. The noodles carry the broth perfectly and and additional toppings compliment the whole dish perfectly. Surprising highlight was the Pork Gyoza and the spicy dipping sauce. It made what is normally a very normal and unexciting side dish really awesome. Could easily drink that red dining sauce like water it was so delicious. Overall a fantastic experience. Will definitely come back and try out the rest of the menu.
