This is a small gluten free Japanese eatery in Alexandria run by a Japanese owner. We tried the Tokyo Ramen with chicken chashu, Assorted Nigiri Roll, Fried Eggplant with miso dressing. Tasty ramen broth & chicken chashu, but wished the egg is served with runny yolk.
Exceptionally FRESH fish in the sushi rolls. Gluten free udon and ramen with such a rich broth, full of flavor and layers. Really refreshing to find a Japanese joint that doesn’t sacrifice on quality, and therefore taste. Quality is addictive and I see us coming back many more times!
The staff are incredibly welcoming, the food is fantastic, and it’s obvious that everyone here genuinely cares about both their customers and the quality of what they serve. Every interaction feels authentic, friendly, and sincere, which is something that’s becoming increasingly rare these days. What impressed me most is that they have remained true to their mission of providing food that is strictly gluten-free and dairy-free without compromising on taste or quality. The prices are also very reasonable when you consider the extra care, ingredients, and preparation required to cater to these dietary needs safely. It’s the little touches that really set this place apart. There’s even a sign encouraging customers to enjoy a balanced, healthy meal, which perfectly reflects the positive and caring attitude behind the business. You can tell this isn’t just about selling food; it’s about creating a genuinely welcoming environment where people can enjoy great food and feel looked after. A fantastic experience all around, and a place I’d happily recommend to anyone looking for delicious food, friendly service, and people who truly care about what they do.
We had Wafu Kitchen cater for a celebration we had at home. It took me a while to find a place that caters for all the dietary needs, and I don’t believe there’s many that could do it as well as Wafu. Everything turned out perfect. We had chicken karrage, tempura and Katsu - no one could tell they were entirely gluten free. It was just amazing. The service was impeccable from organising the menu to pick up. Big thank you to Yukako and her team to help make it happen for us. We will definitely come back.
One of the best bowls of gluten free ramen I’ve ever tasted. On par or even better than those in Japan! You have to go here.
