We had a really tasty dinner at Yakitori Yurippi! It's really nice sitting at the counter and watching the chef's grill up the skewers fresh in front of you! All the food smells amazing while cooking over the coals. We tried lots of skewers - our favourites were the chicken meatball with egg, pork belly and scallops. We also tried one of their specials of apple wrapped in pork. Quite different, but tasty! We have eaten a lot of ox tongue, and we probably wouldn't recommend the ox tongue. Quality wasn't amazing on that skewer, perhaps consider changing supplier? But apart from that everything else was really tasty! We also really enjoyed the corn and potato salad. The onigiri were also really delicious! The staff were also very professional, friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend for a fun dinner with friends and family!

A truly authentic yakitori experience that feels just like a local spot in Japan. The atmosphere, food, and overall vibe are fantastic. Weekend reservations are a must, and because the restaurant is fully booked, you’ll need to finish your meal within the allocated dining time. Despite that, it’s absolutely worth it 🙌 I would happily come back again.

My boyfriend took me here for my 21st and I was so impressed!! Japanese is my favourite cuisine and this is one of the best japanese restaurants I’ve ever been to. The service is amazing, food is even better, I cannot fault it. I would definitely recommend sitting at the bar, I think it made the experience so much better. I particularly loved the apple wrapped in pork belly, and the octopus karaage. Also the lemon sours were so good. 😊

A fantastic yakitori spot with a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes you want to stay all night. The skewers are grilled to perfection—juicy, smoky, and full of flavour, with every bite clearly made with care. Service is equally impressive: attentive, friendly, and efficient without being overbearing. A great all-round dining experience I’d happily return to.

Had multiple visit to this yakitori restaurant and never disappoints. They do a great job in cooking the skewers perfectly and offer so many options that are cooked over the charcoal Hibachi’s. The atmosphere is great, it does remind me of my dining experiences in Japan. You can watch from the bar side tables the chefs cooking the skewers and so how it is all done. We try to visit every few months as we don’t live in the area. But definitely is a highlight when we do visit the crows nest area.
