Phenomenal service. We've never been to Japan, but my partner and I loved the food, the ambiance and the service was just fantastic. So happy to have found a local japanese restaurant that is obviously taken care of by such wonderful and invested people. We will definitely be back again! Authentic small family owned Japanese cafe. Serving delicious healthy, nutritious meals at a reasonable price. Vegetarian, vegan & gluten-free options available. Licenced so you can have a Japanese beer with your edamame. Friendly welcoming staff. Plenty of parking and a bus stop right outside.

So happy to find this authentic Japanese restaurant in the Northern Beaches. We ordered the Beef Gyudon, Yakiniku Beef Don, a side of vegetables (Kinpira) and for dessert we ordered the Apple Roll Cake with Matcha Ice Cream! Love how the main meal was served with homemade miso soup. The cake was infused with tea, and had the perfect balance of sweetness. They also gave us a small chocolate chip red bean cookie on the side which was so sweet of them! The staff were also warm, attentive, and made an effort to share the cultural roots behind each dish. On a hot day, the complimentary Barley Tea was such a thoughtful touch, and we loved the warm green tea served at the end of our meal. These small gestures made the experience even more memorable. Another highlight is the care and love evident in every aspect of the food preparation. It felt like I was back in Japan. Can say it’s one of the best Japanese restaurants in the Northern Beaches. It’s also on the main road of Dee why and there was parking available right in the front. Will definitely come back!

Was fortunate enough to dine here during our short trip. Been to japan 4 times, and the food here is authentic, skillfully cooked. 5* from me. We ordered kitsune udon and a special menu.

Absolutely love Yodaka! This hidden gem is run by the sweetest Japanese family, and you can truly feel the care and love they put into every dish. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared - you can tell they take great pride in their cooking. I also appreciate the little touches, like the extra teas and free drinks, which make every visit feel special. It's such a cozy, welcoming place, and I really hope more people discover it! Highly recommend giving Yodaka a try - you won't be disappointed.
