A very relaxing place that offers high-quality, traditional and fusion Japanese cuisine. The staff offers exceptional service, but unfortunately the food portions are somewhat limited for the price. Despite this, the food was superb. The Miso Katsu was very well made, and the salmon carpaccio (which was more of a sashimi than a carpaccio) was fresh and properly cut, with a good amount of fat. Worth a visit, especially in groups.

Very below average Ramen, and the chef forgot to put the chasui into the ramen and came out dry and cold like cardboard, soup broth not tasty at all, the soup was without depth and very blend. School of prawns were over cooked and so much salt, a wedge of lemon would lift it, it was dry and finish. The originis… we ordered 3 and was a huge disappointment, too wet and the yuzu miso one was tasteless. The fish balls we’re Over fried There were nothing opened at 10:20 pm and we were hungry. For Sydney Japanese food scene this is just not good at all.

This place is one of my favourite Izakayas in Sydney. I’ve lived in Japan for 6 years and this felt like being back in Tokyo. Service was attentive, food was great and venue is quaint too. I recommend trying as much as you can on the menu with some Japanese beers or Sake and you’ll enjoy yourself no doubt. Such a great find. If you are a tourist in Sydney, make the effort to explore this neighbourhood and eat at this place. The staff are so welcoming. Get the window seat and people watch.

Lovely, authentic izakaya. Relaxed vibes, small plates and good food! Will be back! I recommend the lotus and burdock chips, beef tataki, cheese baked vege. Onigiri was a bit dry but the umeshu made it tasty. Omelette was good too
