Every once in a while, I start craving Korean BBQ wraps again. I’ve tried quite a few places, but I still think Butchers offers the best value for money. The meat quality is great too—especially if you’re dining with someone who can really eat. In that case, Butchers is always an easy choice. The city location is nice, but parking is always something to think about, so I actually prefer the Strathfield branch. You can just park at Strathfield Plaza. Our routine is always the same: we grab a little bit of every cut first, then go back for seconds of our favourites. My absolute favourite is the oyster blade. Once it’s grilled, it’s incredibly tender and easy to chew. I wrap it in a fresh lettuce leaf with sliced garlic, ssamjang, green chilli, spring onions, and sometimes a bit of kimchi. One big bite… it’s seriously the best. I usually skip all the carbs and just focus on the meat. Then I finish the meal with a melon-flavoured ice cream. Perfect. 🙂

A good buffet with a wide selection of fresh meat. The cream puffs and fish-shaped red bean cakes were the highlights of the dessert section. The fried rice was surprisingly delicious. However, it was disappointing that there was no fresh fruit or ice cream. The popsicles had partially melted and looked misshapen.

This place offers a great variety of food, making it easy for everyone to find something they enjoy. There are Korean dishes as well as a wide selection of different meats, so there are plenty of options to choose from. It was nice being able to try different flavours in one visit without feeling limited. It also feels like a great place for families and groups to enjoy a meal together, as the menu caters to different tastes and preferences. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming, making the whole dining experience enjoyable. Overall, it’s a place that makes you want to come back and try more dishes next time.

The new Mala Xiang Guo was really delicious! The Korean desserts, such as yakgwa, fish-shaped bread, and ice cream, were also excellent. I was really full after tasting the various types of meat. Above all, the friendly staff changed the grill plates at just the right time, allowing me to enjoy my meal comfortably. I will definitely visit again!

Visited for Sunday dinner with a group of 10. There was a good range of meats available, though I felt the selection was a bit smaller compared to other Butcher’s Buffet branches. They also offered a variety of options beyond BBQ, including fried chicken, tteokbokki, pizza, Korean side dishes, and desserts, which was a nice bonus. The staff were very attentive, regularly clearing plates and changing the grill throughout our meal. The only downside was that the grill was quite small, so with four people sharing one, it took a bit longer to cook. Overall, a solid spot for group dining with great service.
