Excellent food. Extremely good fried chook. Braised short rib is melt in your mouth awesome. Yet to try the bbq but I will. Homemade kimchi is a plus. Good old fashioned service. Hidden gem in Epping. All this food eaten over 3 consecutive visits. Yummy. Excellent. Go on. Try it.

I had wanted to try Galbi House for a year, but the restaurant was hidden behind a large construction site with partitions blocking the entrance and sunlight. The irregular opening hours during that period also made it difficult to visit. Once the construction was nearly finished and the partitions removed, the dining area finally had natural light again, so I decided to give it a try. The owner is very friendly and chatty, and he shared how tough business had been while the construction was ongoing. On my first visit, I was the only customer for quite a while, though more guests eventually came in when I returned for a second visit. The food is good, and the owner proudly claims their fried chicken is the best in town. While I enjoyed it, I personally still prefer the fried chicken I’ve had in Eastwood near the railway station. Overall, Galbi House offers a welcoming atmosphere and deserves more support now that the construction has cleared.

I love this place and it is always a treat! The meats are so tasty and always fresh. I enjoy the smoked duck and the Wagyu seasoned beef the most. I also like the marinated strips, Wagyu premium and oyster ribs. Cooking these cuts requires attention as they easily overcook on the hot BBQ! This place is great for all kinds - group, single or couple. For groups, I recommend making reservation as it gets very busy, quickly, from after 6pm. They also have non-bbq menu with delicious items. Love going to this place for their consistent quality and service.

Made a sepcial trip down to Epping on our recent trip to Sydney. Decided to try this restaurant and we had a great dinner at Galbi House. The staff was very nice and the food was delicious. Will definitely be back when visiting Sydney again.
