This is a genuine 6/5 experience for me, and I don’t say that lightly. Sogogi Korean BBQ is a standout in the Mason & Main eat street and offers one of the more authentic Korean dining experiences in the area. As a Merrylands local, I really value having a place like this nearby. Having also spent time in South Korea during an exchange at Seoul National University, I found many aspects of the experience here to feel true to Korean dining culture, particularly the inclusion of fresh side dishes and the overall flow of the meal. I ordered a rice dish with vegetables and their signature chicken, and it was well balanced, flavourful, and thoughtfully prepared. I also tried the blue lemonade, which was refreshing and complemented the meal nicely. The space itself is open and welcoming, and the layout makes it easy to settle in comfortably. The integration of technology alongside attentive service allows the dining experience to run smoothly without feeling rushed. A special mention to Minjin, who served me during the visit. He was attentive, courteous, and professional throughout, and made the experience feel comfortable from start to finish. The rest of the team also contributed to a warm and well-run environment. Overall, a thoughtfully run restaurant that delivers both quality food and a genuine dining experience. I look forward to returning again and bringing family and friends.

guys the meat quality here.. genuinely show stopping. soo tender. i took my mum here and she loved it so much too. the service staff are super sweet and efficient, and it made the overall dining experience amazing ! the food itself was of course, just brilliant. the tender meat aside, the hot dishes were all delicious as well. seafood pancake was packed w seafood and the batter was crispy. loved the corn cheese, was housing that down at a rapid pace 😹 the japchae was also great ! their banchan was genuinely so good, some of the best kimchi and pickled radish i’ve ever had. i got like three servings of the kimchi and radish honestly, it was that good. they’ve got such a great variety too, from seaweed salad to macaroni salad, and even marshmallows for you to toast ! you can also order refreshing drinks here to go along with your meal. overall, a delicious meal, and i’d totally come back for their meat and dishes again ! ☆ 🍽️ what we got 🍽️ - a lot of meat. - pear juice - pomegranate ade - seafood pancake - japchae - corn cheese

Located in the heart of Merrylands, opened since June 2025, came here for Korean BBQ! Using high quality premium beef, it feels like it just "melts in your mouth" and wrap it in lettuce with kimchi, ssamjang and garlic and your tastebuds will be dancing for more. There's also an a la carte option with all the classic Korean favourites like fried chicken, tteokbokki, Korean pancake and more, so tasty to eat! Less than 5 mins from Merrylands Stockland Mall, this is a great spot for Korean feast!

Had an amazing time at Halal Sogogi! Rachel, the woman who served us, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food came out in a very reasonable time, and the quality of the meat was excellent. Overall, it was a really enjoyable dining experience — definitely a place I’d happily come back to and recommend to others!

Unlimited banchan - What's not to like about that? My favourite has to be the chilli chicken, which looks like it’s a Maryland cut. Once it’s on the grill it turns beautifully caramelised, and the flavour is amazing — spicy, sweet, and super tender. Definitely a must-try when you’re there!
