Kong BBQ at Macquarie Park has been my favourite BBQ restaurant for the past 2 years. I usually come here once every two weeks for lunch, but I only recently had time to take photos and finally write this review — mostly because every other visit, I was too busy enjoying the food 😄 Even though the prices have increased slightly over time, I still find it very good value for money. The restaurant itself is spacious, clean and well-ventilated, making it comfortable for both small groups and families. The staff are extremely friendly, cheerful and attentive, always quick to help and replace grills when needed. Another great bonus is the self-serve drink station, offering Coke, soda and ice, which you can refill freely throughout the meal. When it comes to food, the variety here is outstanding. There is a huge selection ranging from fried chicken, fish cake, rice and soup, to wagyu beef and some seafood options. The vegetables and side dishes are also very generous, with plenty of kimchi, lettuce, mushrooms and various Korean banchan, so you’ll never feel bored or overwhelmed by just meat. The sushi and sashimi section is another highlight for me, featuring a good variety of salmon, prawns and other items, all looking fresh and well presented. What truly sets Kong BBQ apart is that they use real charcoal grilling, and they provide plenty of charcoal. This allows the meat to cook quickly while giving it a strong, smoky aroma that really enhances the flavour. Overall, I honestly haven’t found another BBQ restaurant in the area that offers such a wide range of quality food and a consistently great dining experience. Highly recommended — it’s very easy to become a regular here.

We recently visited Kong's BBQ and tried their all-you-can-eat buffet during the 4:30 PM Happy Hour, which costs $44 per person. 🥩 BBQ Meats Wagyu beef, pork, chicken, duck, prawns, octopus, and sausages. 🍗 Hot Food Fried chicken, calamari, pork tonkatsu, takoyaki, spring rolls, Korean pancakes, and more. 🍣 Sushi & Soups A selection of sushi, egg soup, fish cake (odeng) soup, and kimchi soup. We only tried the kimchi soup and found it a bit average. 🍜 Instant Ramen Station A self-service station where you can cook your own instant noodles. 🍦 Sides & Desserts Fresh salads, mushrooms, cheesy corn, fruit, ice cream, soft drinks, and coffee. The restaurant was very busy when we visited, so we'd recommend booking ahead if possible.

Totally stuffed ! This is a Korean bbq buffet that serves various types of fresh & marinated beef, pork. All you can eat within 90mins! The place is quite crowded with tight seats and food sections right next to tables. The meats were fresh, sushi and side dishes were ok. Kimchi was sour, ex- China. Our members were busy roasting the meats on the table. The space was filled with smokes and ventilation was not good. We felt stuffed. We brought a bottle of red wine and asked for corkage service but was told not possible(unlike the message on their website). Good place to indulge in the meat with your friends & family, but you may regret “overloading” yourself !

Despite booking, we still had to wait 30mins to be seated. Maybe its because its peak hour, they seem to be very busy and quite crowded. There were alot of people outside still waiting to be seated... The venue itself is located outside the shopping center. Option to park inside shopping center orr street parking is fine but the restaurant to me is small. If youre unlucky to be seated outside, you'll have to grab your food and walk outside, and if its busy you'll be bumping into people.. Theres unlimited drinks, limited meat and seafood but theyre okay. The main attraction is the sushi and thats one of the main issue. Because its unlimited people would just hoard it, the chef and staff are not quick enough to refill as a result causing a line. And the new plates are also not unable to be cleaned on time causing another queue...
