Our go to place for Korean on the lower north shore. We ordered the rice balls, beef soup and snow cheese fried chicken. The food and setting were both really solid, but what stood out most was the service. Sanjok was incredibly welcoming and genuinely made the whole experience. He went above and beyond to ensure we were well looked after, making sure our glasses were filled and side dishes full. You can tell he really cares about the customers and the place itself. He’s a real asset to this establishment.
Stopped by MyungJang St Leonards and had a great experience and evening with friends. The service was attentive and friendly, and the food quality was consistently good. Everything came out fresh and well prepared. A solid spot if you’re craving Korean BBQ in the area.
We had a wonderful experience at Myung Jang. Special mention to Sanjok from FOH — his service was exceptional. As a chef myself, I rarely come across front-of-house staff this attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. He made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. You can really tell he cares about guest experience. Thank you, Sanjok, for such amazing hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!
Really busy and for good reason - the food was absolutely delicious. Everything we ordered was simply so good. The standout was the seafood pancake - generous amount of seafood of good variety and the batter was so fluffy and the edges perfectly crispy. The spicy pork soup was also very nice with a deep, rich broth. Every single side dish was also delicious. The serving portions were also massive. The dolsot bibimbap could feed 2 people easily and I’ve never seen such a big serving of steamed egg. The staff are kind and very accommodating (albeit extremely busy). Thank you for the fantastic feed - we will be back!
