I always come to this restaurant because the food is delicious and the atmosphere and staff are usually friendly and welcoming. However, today 24 of may 2026 at around 5 pm to 7 pm I had a really uncomfortable and disappointing experience. Throughout our entire visit, the staff was not friendly at all, especially an older man who seemed to be the manager. He constantly came to our table to correct us about how we were cooking our food, making repeated comments about whether we were using coarse salt on the meat, the way we were cooking it, and other unnecessary details. This was not our first time at a Korean BBQ, nor our first time eating Korean food. We know how to cook the meat, and we enjoy doing it the way we learned, especially because a Korean person actually taught us that way. The situation became very uncomfortable because this man kept returning to our table to make comments, which made us feel judged and excluded. Honestly, the experience made me feel as if the restaurant was only welcoming toward Korean customers and not toward everyone who simply wants to enjoy the experience. The atmosphere became tense and uncomfortable, and we ended up feeling watched during the whole meal. It’s really sad because I used to enjoy coming here, but after this experience, I will probably think twice before coming back.
Came in for lunch and the place was nearly empty — only two tables occupied, including ours — so expectations were pretty straightforward. We ordered 6 servings of salmon sashimi, but only 2 came out initially, and we were left waiting for the rest. At one point, we were sitting with no food on the table for around 8 minutes, which shouldn’t happen given how quiet it was. Food quality was okay overall. The salmon was decent but not particularly fresh, and the wagyu cuts were slightly tougher than expected. On the plus side, they do bring out a good variety of side dishes and coal on the fire! Very clever. Service and timing need work. With better pacing and consistency, this place could be much better.
The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and the staff were polite. The food was good and arrived in a reasonable amount of time. While some dishes stood out more than others, overall it was an enjoyable dining experience. Worth a visit if you’re in the area.
Restaurant looked nice from the outside so I took my wife for lunch there today and just a single staff member (girl) 10-20 meters away from the door who just pointed us to a table and rudely asked what we want while frowning her face. We looked at each other, said thank you to the girl and walked out the door. She was annoyed that we came into the restaurant, assure you it wasn't English problem as she spoke fluently. Went to Butchers and was greeted by friendly staff with smiles.
Very disappointed. The food is bad quality for the lunch BBQ high price, even we choose premium set but the meat was not fresh. Also the side dishes felt soured like it off. Tamago doesn’t tasted like egg. And how come the tap water for the table was so warm. We love Korean bbq a lot, we’re been so many places and it was amazing. But this place we will never come back to this again. This is ruined my lunch time.
