Long time consumer of the tofu pudding here. Tried a few flavours but always find myself returning to the classic ginger syrup as the other flavours are quite bland - that or I got unlucky each time. They have good opening hours until 6:30pm. I've always gotten one packet of syrup per serving purchased. Today, I purchased four servings of tofu pudding. The lady threw in three packets of syrup then took one out. I looked into the bag on the spot and asked "just two?". She asked back in Mandarin "what?!", and her younger male colleague apologized and put two more in. Granted you generally only need half to three quarters of a packet per serve of tofu, for my liking anyway. However, that's up to the consumer to decide how much they want. I was also buying for friends, so who am I to dictate how much sugar they use. In addition, they only fill the packets 2/3 of the way full now instead of almost completely full. If you want to penny pinch, then put less syrup in each packet or get smaller packets altogether.
This tofu place is always busy and they have soy milk to soft warm fresh tofu with different topping options. Tried the sweet tofu with ginger syrup ($3). You have option to have the syrup poured on the tofu or separately. By the time I got home tofu was still warm but the ginger syrup was diluted. I will get the syrup on the side next time.
I went there with my gf, cuz a friend of hers loves this store. They have a wide range of options (desserts and side dishes). The lady at the counter was so kind that she gave us some discount for tofu puddings with ginger syrup Thanks for the experience and I’ll def go and buy from u again soon. (PS : The taste of side dishes and desserts are just amazingly tasty)
the tofu pudding was very good, smooth and soft. Wouldn't recommend to get soy milk, I feel like 90% of it is water
I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonably priced this shop is. They offer a variety of tofu drinks and snacks, all at an affordable cost while maintaining decent quality. I highly recommend trying a tofu drink with sugar and tofu with ginger syrup on a sunny day. It's a delightful choice!
