Jong don has got good authentic Korean dishes. It also has outdoor seating.. just like the ones you see on the K-dramas. The food was spicy hot, authentic has that good old Korean hospitality. The bossam was melt in your mouth and went tremendously well with the sauces and crispy lettuce. This dish is a must try. Pancake was one of the best.. according to one of the diners with us at the table.
There were actually a lot of food items not pictured as we came in a large group and I didn’t get the chance to photograph items on the other side but we were pleasantly satisfied with our meal. Food tasted great and the service was mostly attentive. We did have to chase up a dish but it arrived promptly after. Would recommend the place as it is a bit away from the busier side of lidcombe but you can still get a good feed with better chances of parking
The food was amazing!!! The best spicy pork Kim chi hot pot we have ever tried! The pork belly was perfect. You can definitely taste the freshness and flavour in the food. Amazing customer service. Great atmosphere. Highly recommend if you are looking for great vibes and tasty food.
21/5/26 - 4.5 stars An amazing korean spot in where else but Lidcombe. This authentic restaurant is a bit far away from the central area, but, well worth having a look. Service and ambience basically takes you back to Korea. In fact, in some aspects, it was better than what I've experienced in Korea. The dishes were overall good and value is not bad. Banchan: SS+, 9.5/10. Might well be the best spread I've had in Syd. They even have japchae (though just the noodles). All the pickled dishes were great and they provide refills. Soondubu hotpot Flavour: S, 8/10. Nothing extraordinary but meets expectations Texture: S, 8/10. Actually liked that the raw ingredients are not pre-mixed or cooked for you. Value: A, 7/10. Comes as part of the bossam set for $110 Bossam Flavour: SS, 9/10. A bit sweet, salty and umami. No porky aftertaste. Great stuff. Texture: SS, 9/10. Tender Squid Flavour: S, 8/10. A little bland on its own actually but that's what the condiments are for. Otherwise fresh tasting Texture: S, 8/10. Not too chewy Sweet/spicy chicken Flavour: S+, 8.5/10. The sauce was solid and chicken not bad Texture: A, 7/10. A bit disappointed about how much batter there was. Made it a bit bready. Value: B, 6/10. $42 for large
$100 meal set doesn't include any rice. 1st time experience in a Korean restaurant. Charge $4 for a small bowl of rice. Saw high Google Review score so come and try. Arrived at 7:30 Wednesday. Quite empty. Kpop music. Clean floor and table. Scan QR code to order. 2 people got Bossam & squid M + hotpot set $97. 2× Korean drink $4 each. Average portion and taste. No surprise No fault. Ps. We were the only customers until 8.30 another group came. Not coming back again I guess. $100 can have something better elsewhere.
