Ate at Sydney Haejanggook Strathfield the other day. I got the pork soup rice, the seafood pancake, and their special drink. Everything was genuinely delicious. The soup was rich, the pancake was perfectly cooked, and the drink was a great addition to the meal. It is a direct, easy, and completely satisfying spot to grab some classic Korean food. Highly recommend checking it out.
Had dinner here, party of 3. Prices are in line with the other local Korean eateries - not cheap. Ordered 3x main dishes and a side, 2/3 mains came out on time, the third took a long time. Ordering is done through a touchscreen tablet mounted on each table. I'm sure this makes kitchen operations and billing easier, especially if they get busy, but in my opinion, it takes away from the experience. It feels like you get a random person showing up bringing your food, a little odd. Not remotely similar to automated sushi train shops, it's a different feeling. Food quality was good, serving sizes were enough to feed someone who is hungry. Complimentary side dishes were only few. Food variety on the menu was limited. Staff were friendly and polite when we interacted with them. Atmosphere is simple and almost minimalist. Prices were high in my opinion, compared to eating at a Chinese or Vietnamese restaurant. High price is justified when the food is outstanding and this place is not in that category, food is good but not great. Food 3 stars, tasty, clean, but took a little too long to come out Service 2 stars - the robot menu doesn't agree with me. Atmosphere 3 stars - happy without kpop in the background like other places do.
Soothing meat broth ! They offer a variety of traditional Korean soups made of beef, pork broth. It’s stone hot and soothe you to boost your energy. Side dishes were also good in this humble looking restaurant. Good for solo, friends & family eat out.
I miss the old chef with long hair who made the pork bone soup base before. He really made it flavourful and I’ve noticed it’s less flavour now (3x times) . I always visit every year when the weather turns cold and even my friend who come with me tell me the same thing.
Watched this place turned from a local gem to a complete scam. This is what you get for 30 dollar. The taste is blend too, bunch of frozen seafood cooked in noodle soup. Shin ramen tastes better than this seafood noodle. Their pork soup still taste okay but the auburn shop is way better. Avoid this one.
