I’m giving my critique as a chef and Lebanese, It’s my first time dining in Food: ordered a combo 2 which is half chicken, waiting time was not bad 🙌🏻 but when I started having the food I realise the chicken was cold 👎🏻 then I notified them. It was replaced and again the wait time wasn’t that excessive but the chicken was 80% cooked 👎🏻, the chicken marinated and tasted fine, however the garlic tasted a little bit old or it was not made properly, It tasted diluted👎🏻. Atmosphere: there was not much Lebanese vibes which defeats the purpose🤏🏻, I went to the toilet and when I came back my table was shining bright like a diamond although I just had a sip from the Coke which I was dying for 😢 which shows and explains the fact that there is no wait staff that noticed that I went to the toilet, this part can’t be fully blamed on the Stuff. Maybe I should’ve told them not to clear the table.

INCREDIBLE!!! ✨ Beautifully seasoned, juicy chicken. Perfectly salted crunchy chips. All put together by the kind, and family-owned workers at Sammy's Charcoal Chicken. 10/10, definitely coming here again with the fam!

I ordered the chicken shish wrap expecting a decent, fresh wrap, but what I got was honestly a pretty poor effort. The presentation alone was off — it looked like it had been thrown together without any care. The filling was uneven, with chunks of chicken just sitting on top rather. There were 4 chunks of chicken in the entire. To their credit, the staff did replace it without much fuss, which I appreciate. But the fact that this made it out in the first place is disappointing. Hopefully it was just a one-off, but it definitely didn’t meet expectations.

Ordered one mix plate and another with only chicken skewers. Both meals came out as mixed plates. The second plate came out at the end of service to our table of 10 people. By then, most of the other friend had finished eating and I didn’t want to wait another 20 minutes to correct the order. I don’t eat red meat! Both Fattoush salads didn’t come with fried bread until I asked and then only one from two fried breads were brought out for the salads. I have been wanting to visit for a while but only had the chance when invited out. I don’t want to hear a reply from the owner regarding my review. The food tasted nice but service was poor which spoiled our experience.

Yesterday was my first time dining at this Lebanese restaurant with my family, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing overall. Starting with the atmosphere, the tables were very sticky, which immediately gave a poor first impression. The restaurant is completely open to the street, which personally did not create any sense of hygiene or comfort. There was nothing that made us feel welcomed or encouraged to stay and enjoy the experience. Even something simple like heaters for a cold evening would have made a difference, but unfortunately there was nothing it felt more like “sit, eat, and leave.” The downlights hanging from the ceiling were covered in dust, and nearly half the bulbs were not working. Again, this reflects poorly on the overall cleanliness and presentation of the restaurant. For a Thursday night, we were literally the only diners there, which was also concerning. As for the food, the chicken itself was nicely marinated and had good flavour. However, it was not served hot, especially considering how cold the weather was. With all the doors and windows open, it genuinely felt like we were dining outside on the street. Normally, with properly heated food on a cold day, you would expect to see steam or heat coming from the dishes, but there was barely any, which suggests the food was not even close to proper serving temperature. We were extremely hungry at the time and did not want to complain during the meal. The staff, however, were lovely, helpful, and polite throughout the visit, which was definitely the positive part of the experience. It would be better than standing chitchatting to go around and clean the place while they are doing nothing. Overall, the restaurant lacks the feeling and warmth that Lebanese cuisine and hospitality are known for. It feels like there is a lack of experienced kitchen and operational management, and judging by other reviews, it seems these issues have been ongoing without improvement.
