Very yummy Malaysian food, especially the Hainanese chicken rice (with rice that has a great chewy texture) and the beef rib claypot rice. Both dishes were full of flavour, with tender meat and generous portions. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving authentic Malaysian cuisine!

Food quality: 7/10 Food affordability / price: 2/10 (overpriced for what you get) Service: 6.5/10 Ambience: 7/10 I would say I wasn't particularly impressed by the food here, even though I recognize they are trying to do something unique with the Malaysian flavours. The best dish remains to be the classic Salted egg Cereal Prawns and the claypot rice however consuming only 8+ dishes costed us >$400 which felt just outrageous. The waiting for our table experience even though half the restaurant was empty felt like "fine dining", if this was something they're trying to achieve then the food had better match "fine dining" standards. A one time try unless the affordability of the dishes becomes better. Either increase the quantity of the offering or lower the price.

The crab is very sweet and delicious. Live crabs are really much more tasty . Paired with salted egg yolk sauce, it's amazing. When you bite into Flossy Fried Chicken, the juice bursts directly in your mouth. The skin is fried to be extremely crispy, and it is covered with a generous amount of seaweed meat floss and mayonnaise. It's really yummy

Had such a great meal at Amah by Ho Jiak! The Black Truffle Roast Duck Pancakes were definitely the highlight, and the Truffle Oyster Claypot Rice was also amazing. Great food, friendly service and a lovely atmosphere.

We came here for valentines and got the 8 course set meal. Service was really good, staff were friendly and helpful throughout the meal. They even prepared a little show with roses and burning paper. Overall, the food is pretty good, taste wise was quite authentic. I especially liked the Hokkaido scallops and Angus char siu ribs. The ribs were so tender and the meat just melts in your mouth. The chilli that came with the ribs really reminded me of home. The mantou had a very strong taste of margarine that overpowered the chilli lobster flavour and was not as crispy as I would have liked. The lobster was quite difficult to eat as we had to remove the meat from the lobster ourselves although they had cut and prepared it. The satay sauce was really really good but I would say the satay could’ve had a more smokey flavour and the beef satay was a little tough/chewy. The salted egg flavour was quite mild as well and mostly stuck to the pastry. I really liked the cocktail but I’m not sure what flavour it was. Definitely will be back to try other dishes!
