Great place to find Southeast Asian food. Pretty authentic as far as most dishes are concerned. Highly recommend the char kway teow and laksa. However the nasi lemak strays a little further away from authentic. The dumpling noodle was straight up bad - so donβt order that, it was plain and watery.
We visited for a family lunch and ordered a variety of dishes. The char kway teow was missing the signature wok hei, which made it feel a bit flat. The ayam masak merah also fell short, as the sauce lacked depth of flavour. On the positive side, the vegetable curry was very enjoyable and stood out among the dishes we tried. Overall, the rest of the food was decent but nothing particularly memorable. Service, however, was fast and efficient, which we appreciated.
Ipoh hawker runs just hit different πβ¨ We went all in and every dish delivered comfort, flavour, and that nostalgic street food magic. The nasi lemak with curry chicken? Rich, creamy, and packed with spices β sambal had the perfect kick π₯ Coconut rice was fluffy and fragrant, exactly how it should be. Roti chanai was beautifully crispy on the outside, soft and stretchy inside β dipped into curry, it was pure happiness π€€ Char kway teow came smoky and wok hei-ed to perfection, with that savoury depth you crave in every bite. We also couldnβt skip the chicken β juicy, tender, and full of flavour β and the Hainanese chicken rice was simple but done so right. Silky chicken, fragrant rice, and that chilli sauce combo? Elite π Honestly, one of those meals where every dish shines. Ipoh hawker food never disappoints β€οΈπ²πΎ
A very nice restaurant with good Malaysian food. It was authentic and we enjoyed the meal and had a very good dining experience. Unfortunately , only took a couple of photos as we were too busy chatting and eating.
We had a mid crab today. It was delicious π fresh and tender. We had 1 crab to share between 2. The size of the crab is perfect. Lunch wasnβt very busy today when we arrived at 1:45pm. The staff are friendly and polite. It is easy to get there there with public transport or if you have a vehicle there are plenty of car park at the back of the shops. Will definitely be back again next time.
