Have visited this Malaysian restaurant multiple times over many years and their food is always good. The hainanese chicken was tender and it went well with the light soy as well as the ginger and shallot sauce. The bak kut teh was a nice winter warmer as the broth was very herbal,soothing and packed with vegetables and pork rib pieces too. The Kam heong clams was full of wok hei with a milk spicy kick. The milo dinosaur had a really strong milo flavour and nicely creamy too. Their food is simply yummy and reasonably priced. No wonder this place is always packed.

I literally love everything about this place. Their Hainan chicken is very fresh and tender, and the portion sizes are generous. You really can’t go wrong with anything that comes with their chicken. Their laksa broth is super rich and stuffed — I can never finish it all. They also pack takeaway orders very carefully. Always come here when I want a decent meal.

The Hainanese chicken rice was really good. The chicken was super tender, full of flavor, and the dipping sauce was excellent. The satay chicken skewers were tasty too. My only complaint is that the sauce wasn’t poured over the skewers. Since the skewers are different sizes, it was hard to dip them evenly, so some bites had plenty of sauce while others barely had any. The bak kut teh, which is one of their signature dishes, had a rich, savory broth that I enjoyed. However, the meat was disappointing. It was almost flavorless and tasted very bland. The pork belly was also quite greasy and lacked seasoning, so it didn’t live up to my expectations.

Great food, fast service. Liked their nasi goreng since I could taste the wok-burnt aroma and crunchy ikan bilis as well. Chicken rice was also delicious, with soup on the side and flavorful rice. Recommend for people who need a quick lunch/dinner with awesome food.

If you’re craving authentic Malaysian food in Sydney, Malay Malay is a must-visit. The roti canai was perfectly crispy and flaky, paired with a rich, tender beef rendang that was deeply spiced and full of flavour. The nasi lemak was fragrant with a punchy sambal and all the classic elements done right. Standout dishes for me were the Singaporean chilli king prawns — juicy with a bold, sweet-spicy kick — and the BBQ pork curry laksa, which was creamy, aromatic, and incredibly satisfying. Overall, a fantastic spot for authentic Malaysian comfort food. Will definitely be back.
