Have frequented this restaurant several times over the years. Love the variety of options and love the hainan chicken rice, curry laksa and char kway teow. Good for groups of all sizes and food ordered get served pretty quickly. Would love it if they expand and open up in Kingsford or Maroubra as well, where there us essentially no more Malaysian/Singaporean type restaurants now. Decided to update this review with a new photo as we went there this afternoon to get some takeaway food.

I have been here twice now and thought the food was generally good. The Hainan chicken was tender while the Laksa was nice and spicy. The bah ku teh came in a small pot but had a generous amount of meat, including two chicken feet that were quite nice. My only negative would be their drinks (coffee and tea) that tasted a bit watered down. Service was no non-sense, and the dishes came out efficiently. The seating area was spacious with a number of booths. I also enjoyed the 80s/90s Chinese pop that was playing in the background.

My friend did some research and recommended this place for its great laksa. I ordered the curry chicken laksa, and it was massive—packed with flavour and loaded with pieces of chicken on the bone. It’s definitely up there with some of the best laksa in Sydney. We also tried the satay chicken skewers, which were okay. I’d definitely return.

After trying a few of the Malaysian restaurants in Campsie this one stands as the best of the bunch. Always delicious and hits the mark. The staff are lovely - it's obviously not high dining service, but they're welcoming and efficient. Food has always come out quite quickly. Highly recommend the dry pan mee!

I've been on a mission to find the best Hainanese Chicken Rice in Campsie, and I'm happy to say that Malaysia Small Chilli is the winner so far. The chicken was perfectly cooked, and the rice that came with it was exactly how chicken rice should be. What really sealed the deal, though, was their killer hot sambal. Adding that to the dish took it to a whole new level. To wash it all down, the Iced Lemon Tea was incredibly satisfying. My companion, Bubbles, was just as impressed with her dish—the Dry Pan Mee. This one is a weekend special, only available on Saturday and Sunday lunch, so we were lucky to get it. She absolutely loved it, and the look of pure satisfaction on her face could've killed any negative thoughts about the place! The experience was topped off by the excellent service. Our waitress was super friendly and made some brilliant suggestions. Service was quick, and we were even offered complimentary hot tea, which is always a nice touch. Overall, Malaysia Small Chilli is a fantastic spot with top-notch food and service. Highly recommend!
