A conveniently located Malaysian Cuisine gem. Just 5 minutes walk away from Victoria Cross Metro Station. The is a wide variety of Malaysian classic dishes on the menu. If you miss home-cooked food, there is also a Bain Marie offering many staples found in Malaysian homes such as Sambal Squid, Stir-fry Okra, Green Bean with Chicken, Salt and Pepper Eggplant and Mushroom. The coffee is aromatic, thick and satisfying. Try the Satay and Yong Tau Foo dishes too. They are all hand-made by the talented chef, Soon. If you are craving seasonal food such as Bak Chang, this is also available. Ask about the Nonya Kuih if you are planning a party. A one-stop Malaysian Restaurant to meet all your cravings. The restaurant is also spacious and can accommodate a party of any size. Go Try!

4.5 Stars. Fantastic, authentic Malaysian restaurant founded and run by authentic Malaysian ex-pats. The range of menu is excellent and will have you feeling as though you’re back in Selangor. The food quality is very good but doesn’t quite live up to Mamak or Ho Jiak level quality. Still, I’ve been here over 10 times this year!

Cheap, homey food. Nothing amazing but it’s still satisfying. Chicken was a little dry but the laksa was great. Massive seating space. See @eunicexplores on Instagram/Tiktok for more food reviews 🔥

The food was nice, but serving a bit small inc the coffee . Especially the laksa, it’s a small bowl for the price of $22. I think men’s might be not enough.

I liked eating at POPO Gourmet. The restaurant was bigger than I expected with a range of different seating options available. It was a new looking and very clean dining area. There were many traditional Malaysian dishes to choose from. I eventually decided to order the steamed chicken laksa. The bowl it was served in looked a little smaller compared to laksa I have had at other restaurants, however it was filled with a good sized portion of noodles and meaty chicken pieces. It also came with green beans, bean sprouts and tofu puffs. The broth was creamy and not overly oily. To me it was more on the mild side. I also liked the chicken satay but found the beef ones to be a bit tough.
