Super welcoming, friendly, bubbly staff! Great cocktails, cold beers and delicious homemade Mexican food! Superb hidden restaurant! We had the set menu and left feeling very full! The fish tacos were delicious! We will definitely be back!

recently visited Chica Bonita, which is located just behind the main street. At first, the location felt slightly disadvantageous because it’s not directly visible from the busy front area. However, once you know where it is, it’s actually very easy to find — you simply turn the corner and it’s right there. So while the positioning may not attract as much walk-in traffic, it’s not inconvenient at all. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed, making it a comfortable place to sit and enjoy a meal. The staff members were friendly and welcoming, which made the overall experience pleasant. They were attentive without being overwhelming, and the service was smooth from ordering to receiving the food. I ordered both tacos and a burrito. The presentation was decent, and they generously provided several different sauces on the side, which I appreciated. Having multiple sauce options allowed me to adjust the flavor to my preference. However, in terms of taste, the food was fairly average. It wasn’t bad, but it also wasn’t particularly memorable or outstanding. The flavors were mild and safe, rather than bold or distinctive. Overall, Chica Bonita offers friendly service and a relaxed dining experience, but the food itself was quite standard. It’s a reasonable option if you’re nearby, though not necessarily a destination spot for exceptional Mexican cuisine.

Great vibes for a casual Brunch on a drizzly Manly morning, seated at a small balcony table, set a relaxed and pleasant tone. We ordered the guacamole which was nice and chunky (a touch bland) with fresh nachos which were simple, fresh, and well balanced (a bit oily), the kingfish tostada that was genuinely crisp and clean in flavour, the adobo burrito with crunchy crackling which stood out for texture, and the brisket which was solid and satisfying. Food overall is a 4/5. Well executed, enjoyable, and worth returning for. Could do with more lime. The salsa collection was fabulous to try. Service was a clear 5/5. Fae was excellent. Attentive without hovering, friendly, and genuinely caring about the experience. The atmosphere is cosy and suited to casual dining, though the outlook toward the council placed bins on the corner slightly detracts from the setting. Not the restaurant’s fault, just an unfortunate urban placement. I would return with friends. We didnt order alcohol so can't comment. If this review reflects your experience, please like or acknowledge it so others can find honest voices more easily in a sea of noise. I value good food and good experiences because life is too short to have the opposite 😀

Absolutely loved the food here. The menu had plenty of good options, and everything we tried was fresh, colourful, and full of flavour. The chicken tacos were juicy and well seasoned, the beef had a rich flavour, and the sauces added the perfect extra kick. I also really enjoyed the chips and dips — the guacamole was fresh and the salsa tasted homemade. The staff were attentive without being pushy, and the food came out in a good amount of time even though the restaurant was busy. Great food, great service, and a really enjoyable atmosphere.

We went to this Mexican restaurant and absolutely loved it. The food was amazing — fresh and full of flavour — and the cocktails were just as good. Service was fast, friendly, and welcoming. Could not recommend it highly enough.
