El Camino Miranda: Dining Experience Review A Candid Look at Mexican Eats in Westfield Miranda Introduction If you're wandering through Westfield Shopping Centre in Miranda and craving Mexican fare, El Camino is perched conveniently on the rooftop near the cinemas. Recently, I visited this restaurant and wanted to share an honest review of the experience, from the food to the service and atmosphere. Food and Flavours Our meal started with beef nachos, followed by tacos filled with prawns and fish. The overall quality of the food was impressive—each dish had robust, authentic Mexican flavours that stood out. While the taste was spot on, we did find that the food arrived a bit on the cold side, which was slightly disappointing. Nevertheless, the generous portion sizes meant we were absolutely stuffed by the end of our meal, making it great value for money. Service and Staff The service at El Camino was top notch. Staff were attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. It's always pleasant when the team is eager to help and creates a relaxed dining atmosphere. Ambience and Setting El Camino boasts a spacious dining area, which—during our visit—was surprisingly quiet and mostly empty. While this made for a peaceful meal, I imagine the vibe would be completely different when the restaurant is bustling. The layout and decor suggest that when full, the ambiance would be lively and energetic, perfect for group gatherings or a fun night out. Final Thoughts All things considered, El Camino at Westfield Miranda is worth a visit if you’re in the area. The food is flavourful and served in generous portions, the staff are lovely, and the venue itself has plenty of potential for a great night out. I’m keen to return and see what the atmosphere is like when it’s packed. If you’re near the Westfield cinemas and fancy some Mexican, give this spot a go—you might just find your new favourite place for a feed.

Saturday evening. They seemed surprised they were busy. Waited 50 minutes to get food. No nachos either. I don’t mind waiting but the zero communication is unforgivable. At least come and tell me instead of making me come and enquire then waving me off with “5 minutes”. Food average. And honestly, for over $200 for 2 adults and 2 kids I expect better.

This Mexican spot offers a unique experience, blending traditional flavors with an Aussie twist. While it might not be the most authentic Mexican food I've had (especially after tasting the real deal in Mexico), it’s still pretty tasty. The chicken and tacos were good, though they tasted more like standard deep-fried chicken rather than marinated specialties. The service was friendly, though a tad slow. Finding the place is a bit of an adventure; it's tucked away on level four of the outdoor area, accessible via a maze of lifts and a walk through the food court. However, once you arrive, it’s worth it. The chips and guac were a definite highlight, and the food came out quickly. What really stands out is the atmosphere: the views of Sydney are stunning, the music is great, and the décor, filled with plants and palm trees, creates a welcoming and vibrant environment. Overall, a solid choice for a fun night out with a Mexican-inspired meal.

Had corn on the cob. Burrito bowl with extra bbq chicken. 3 tacos: fish, pulled pork and wagyu brisket. We also got free corn chips with dips (we were the first customer for the day, so not sure if this is included normally). All the food was very delicious.

Lunch service was prompt and friendly, but had to ask for cutlery. Very oily beef nachos, which for $30-ish was well below expectations. Serving size suited to a teenage boy. I'm not a fan of 'Order Via QR Code' so lost a star there too. Bloody Mary cocktail had a suitable spiciness to it. Lacklustre.
