this is the 2nd time i ordered the same food burrito bowl with double shredded beef brisket and add..cheese and this is the 2nd time i recieved RAW RICE! can someone ask the employees to determine or double check if the rice is cooked or not? at first i leave it be as maybe there is a mistake or what. but the 2nd time?? this is worst
It was absolutely disgusting, the chips used to be crispy now they are saggy over cooked and unseasoned. I found a hair inside my caesar salad 🤮 it used to be great food and visited regularly but after tonight I would never go back. And worse everything was cold, even though I was waiting for the person to hand my food for 5 minutes still everything was cold as if it has been sitting on cold for an hour.
I had a very disappointing experience at GYG Top Ryde while picking up an Uber order today. I arrived on time for the pickup, but the staff took around 20 minutes to hand over the order. During that time, I could see other orders being completed even though they seemed to come after mine. There was no proper update or clear communication about the delay. As a student doing Uber delivery work, delays like this seriously affect my time and income. I expected the pickup to take only a minute or two, but because of the long wait, I ended up facing a parking issue outside the store. The police attended, took my licence and vehicle details, and told me I would receive a fine. This is not the first time this store has been slow with pickup orders. Based on my experience, I would avoid accepting orders from this particular GYG location again, and I would advise other delivery drivers to be careful when accepting orders from this store. Very poor pickup management and disappointing service.
The decorations and furnitures were very adorable and definitely reflecting on the Mexican culture. The workers were very fast and nice, although they did seem kind of tired. The food was very delicious and tender but the fries are very alarming when it’s on its own. It’s just very soggy and not well done and very salty. The signature burrito is very yummy and the meat was very juicy. There were very funny pigeons flying in to the restaurant
GYG Top Ryde used to be one of my favourite spots, but my recent experience was really disappointing. I ordered a burrito with shiitake mushrooms, but what I got instead was a cold burrito with beef. When I returned it, the staff at the counter was polite and apologised, and I even heard her trying to correct the team behind the counter. However, I waited almost 30–45 minutes for a replacement that never came. When I finally checked, the team looked completely confused and clearly had forgotten about it. There were several people working behind the counter, but it seemed like no one knew what was going on — no communication, no apology, nothing. In the end, I just asked for a refund. The same lady apologised again, but the whole experience left a bad impression. For a place that used to be so reliable and one of my favourites, it’s really disappointing to see how unprofessional and disorganised things have become. Hopefully, the management looks into staff training and service consistency.
