I am leaving this review due to a serious food safety concern I witnessed today at approximately 7:20 pm. While using the public toilets near Mad Mex Blacktown, I came across a young woman who appeared extremely unwell. She was slumped over the basin, unsteady on her feet, and there was vomit throughout the bathroom, including on the floor and in multiple toilet cubicles. When she stood up, she had vomit in her hair, on her clothing and shoes. I was concerned enough for her welfare that I called an ambulance at 7:27 pm. Due to delays, I was advised to notify Mad Mex staff in case paramedics attended and needed assistance locating her. The woman later left the bathroom with a friend and, to my surprise, walked directly into the staff-only kitchen/preparation area of Mad Mex. It then became apparent that she was an employee. I continued to monitor the situation and ultimately cancelled the ambulance at 7:59 pm after seeing her return to work. My concern was initially for the employee but now thinking about the whole situation, my concern is that someone who had recently been vomiting and was visibly contaminated with vomit was permitted to enter a food preparation area. I hope management reviews this incident and ensures appropriate food safety and staff welfare procedures are followed in the future. EDIT: JUST SAW THEY ARE ON THE LIST FOR FOOD HEALTH AND SAFETY CONCERNS ALREADY!

Like a lot of other reviews here, this one is again about the portion sizes. As someone who goes to madmex nearly once a week for years now, this is smallest portion size I’ve ever gotten out of any store I’ve been to. I usually go to the one at rouse hill and the staff are typically super bubbly and portion sizes are generous. The staff here (with the exception of the male owner/manager) had pretty poor service skills. More importantly, the naked burrito bowl was about half the size of the usual ones from other stores. They filled the bottom with more rice than usual and then skimped out on all the toppings, even the paid extra guac. There was only 1 spoonful of the chicken in one corner which was disappointing as this is the protein filling and typically there’s more than enough chicken for every bite. They even skimped on the salsa sauce and as a result there was almost no spicy flavour. The older man at the register (presumably the owner/manager) was very nice and food was fresh but it unfortunately didn’t make up for the poor service standards from other workers or the tiny portion sizes.

This experience was disgraceful, I had to write this review just to warn other customers about it. Clearly the management at WestPoint has become as incompetent as the staff they’re hiring. When managers do not care about the business, it becomes evident in the employees. Around 11am this Monday (15 June, 2026) I walked into MadMex Blacktown with the sound of Japanese music playing on the speakers (it’s a Mexican fast-food chain) with a half-hearted greeting by an adult-male wearing bunny ears, I should have taken the irresponsible behaviour as hints of incompetence and walked out immediately — However, due to my own personal naivety and the fact I was in a rush to get to work that day made it so this opportunity was taken full advantage of by an unskilled worker who made the food with carelessness, it was a complete mess. He could not even wrap the burrito properly and this was the most unenjoyable food I’ve ever consumed. I’ll definitely not be returning to this restaurant again. Hopefully, this employee will be removed. Went there a week or two prior to this and had no issues, staff were great, would have even given 5 stars before this. Image attached for reference.

So disappointed in my naked and tacos not enough filling at all I'm a regular Mad Mex fan i go to multiple locations and get full When the lady was making it i even told her it looked really small like little bit of tomato not even enough cant feel any sauce at all when i specifically asked spicy . As i ate it it literally felt empty and i was still hungry after. I will not be going back to this Mad Mex and i rather spend money somewhere else seriously not happy at all

I’ve been here over a hundred times and have always enjoyed it, but today was a major disappointment due to the portion size. The quantity I received today was about less than 2/3 of what I normally get, and it was so small that even after finishing everything, I was still very hungry. The food was prepared by a male staff member I hadn’t seen before, and the portion was significantly smaller compared to my past visits. I hope the portions can be more consistent in the future to maintain the standard I’ve come to expect.
