Wonderful and flavoursome broth. 9 freshly made noodle varieties to choose from. All made to order. Not a greasy broth , light and delicious. I had a basic beef variety.reasonable pricing, drinks available too. Eftpos facilities available. Plenty of seating On account of it being in Macquarie shopping centre. Large portions. There are condiments also available if you want to add additional flavours to the dish.
I like the Vegan option noodle dish, it's simple and healthy, quite tasty. I would love to have a bit more Vegan options in future.
Food was nice, not great. The free upgrade was a nice touch. I would recommend getting at least two spoons as the first one will be completely useless half way through your meal. The paper spoons is a waste of time. Staff are ok, they probably should try to pretend they like their job and not have a grumpy face. The young girl was friendly and helpful though.
Price Increased to $17.80 *** 4.8, up from 3.6 - I hadn't visited in nearly a year but on yesterday's visit, I found the product to be of the utmost quality, trying a new Tendon and Tripe one. The noodles were bouncy, the Soup was moreish, there was actually enough Brisket and Tendon and it was actually mild as I asked it to be!! The staff member preferred to be a lady of few words, and a slightly chilly demeanour. However, looking past that, the taste, quality and portion (with the upgraded extra noodles hit the right spot). Excellent work all! *** Previous post *** The depth of the soup isn't as good as 1919 Lanzhou in Chatswood although the Customised hand-made noodles are usually perfect for the texture (Today, I got overly soft noodles though - extra thick texture). You can get the beef brisket type of beef (it was also cooked very very soft) but they only have it with the super spicy soup. I asked for "mild" and it was filled with chilli oil. And I couldn't scoop up the herbs to eat because of the huge amount of oil.
This Lanzhou noodle shop is in Macquarie Centre food court, and it’s also have the same type of noodles as other Lanzhou restaurants. We ordered spicy beef noodle soup and pickled cabbage noodle soup. They all tasted good but a bit salty. And you can change to big bowl for free, that means you can eat more noodles for free if you are so hungry. Recommend as a quick and nice lunch for workers and residents nearby.
