If you’re craving authentic Pakistani and North Indian flavours in Western Sydney, Himalaya Penrith is a spot that truly delivers. We visited recently for a full dine-in experience, and honestly, it felt like a comforting desi feast straight from back home. The menu is extensive, portions are generous, and the flavours are bold — the kind of meal that instantly transports you to a busy Lahori dhaba. We started with the Himalaya Tandoori Platter, and it set the tone beautifully. The kebabs were juicy, the lamb cutlets perfectly grilled, the fish tender, and the chicken tikka had that smoky tandoori aroma we all love. The Tawa Prawn (Hot) was another standout — spicy, tangy and cooked with yoghurt, onions and capsicum, bringing that proper street-style kick. Even the Vegetable Samosas were spot-on: crisp, golden and filled with well-spiced vegetables. For mains, the Lahori Chicken was my absolute favourite. It had a gorgeous balance of green chilli, black pepper and yoghurt, giving it true Lahori heat and depth. The Beef Nihari was rich and hearty, with melt-in-the-mouth beef and a silky gravy that paired beautifully with their naans. The Mughal Biryani was aromatic and flavourful, served with raita — a classic done right. The Shahi Paneer was creamy, comforting and full of flavour, perfect for paneer lovers. Their breads were equally impressive — the Peshawari Naan (stuffed with cashews) added a touch of sweetness, while the Butter Naan was soft, fresh and perfect for scooping up gravies. The Zeera Rice, light and fragrant, complemented the curries perfectly. We also tried the Lychee Mojito and Pineapple Bliss, both refreshing and great palate cleansers between all the rich food. Overall, Himalaya Penrith offers consistent flavours, generous servings and genuine desi hospitality. It’s a fantastic spot for families, groups, or anyone craving nostalgic Pakistani/Indian dishes made with heart. Highly recommended for a satisfying, flavour-packed meal in Penrith.
Visited Himalaya Restaurant in Penrith today and I am glad I read the reviews and decided what to order. The food was mouth watering and delicious. The Lahori Fish, Tawa Chicken was outstanding. It was served sizzling hot and fresh. The surprising thing was it's portion, which was more than enough for two people. The Butter Chicken was also delicious and sparked a typical Indian Butter chicken flavour. I would recommend this place and would visit with my family anytime.
A truly exceptional Indian dining experience, rated 10/10. The food showcased authentic, well-balanced flavors that were both rich and thoughtfully prepared. Service was attentive, courteous, and knowledgeable, making every guest feel welcomed without feeling rushed. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable, with pleasant lighting and a noise level that allowed easy conversation. Overall, this restaurant delivers consistently excellent food, top-notch service, and a welcoming ambiance, and I would happily recommend it for any occasion.
Had an amazing experience at Himalaya Penrith! The Lahori Chicken(desi Pakistani style)Tawa Fish, Malai Boti, Veg Samosa, Mali chicken sizzler, Roghni Naan — everything was cooked to perfection and full of authentic flavour. Each dish was fresh, tasty, and served generously. Definitely one of the best dining experiences in Western Sydney. Highly recommend for anyone who loves true Pakistani & Indian cuisine!
Akmao was a very pleasant waiter. The food was amazing. The goat curry with gravy and the vegetarian mix entrees were stand out. Free corkage too!
