La Renaissance Patisserie and Cafe is a great choice stop in to dine there or take something to go. They sell cakes including a gluten and dairy free orange almond cake that is literally divine and a chocolate coconut sour cherry that is also next level. In addition to their cakes, their pastries are miniature works of art - both aesthetically pleasing and delicious too. The Goya and Lemon Tart are worth trying as is the Monet and Juju. There are savoury options too there - individual quiches, sausage rolls, ham and cheese croissants. It’s possible to buy small cookies to go too. Oh and the macaron are classics! Go through the shop to the back to find a quiet patio or else sit in front of the shop for people watching or take the pastries to go. Wherever you eat the goods from La Renaissance, you’ll be happy.

Eating at La Renaissance was a really nice treat. There was so much to choose from but we opted for some dessert- the almond crossiant and Goya, which was a raspberry mousse based cake. Both were very good. They were well made and had good textural elements. They weren't overly sweet and you could really taste the natural flavours. The atmosphere was good too, being located in The Rocks and close to the water at Circular Quay. There is courtyard seating located in the building as well as outdoor, pavement like seating. The cafe is very busy and popular with both locals and tourists and makes for great people watching and socialising.

Very charming atmosphere with deliightful French music playing in the background. There is Placement seating and quiet courtyard seating. Having loved in Paris for 2 years I can vouch for the authentic standard of the Patisserie items. The service friendly and very efficient. Highly recommend this venue.

The pastries and cakes here are splendid enough to go back for more and the atmosphere is rather relaxed despite the constant comings and goings of customers. However, you’ll often pay more than expected as cafe staff seem to be uncertain of prices and often include credit card surcharges to cash payments as well.

The cakes we had were excellent, and the coffee was nice. The Bagels must be good as a lot of people were getting them for takeout. The pies also looked great. We sat out the front to enjoy the views of the Rocks. While we enjoyed our cakes so many people were getting takeout .
