Not my first time having Persian food, so I had a bit of an idea of what to expect. Overall, this place was not bad, but nothing really stood out or left a lasting impression. We ordered the mixed platter (photo 2), which was $60. The flavours were nice, and the lamb was definitely my favourite—tender and really tasty. My only concern is the portion. There was way too much rice compared to the amount of meat, especially for a combination platter. I would've loved to see a bit more meat on the plate. Hopefully they'll be a little more generous with the meat portions next time!

Jaam-e-Jam Restaurant has an old-school, authentic Persian vibe, with traditional displays that give it a classic look. I’ve tried Persian food many times, so I have a good understanding of the cuisine. The food itself was average — not bad, but nothing memorable either. It felt just okay overall. When prices are on the higher side, the taste and experience should really justify the cost, which unfortunately didn’t happen for us. Another downside was the service. The waiter wasn’t very helpful and couldn’t properly explain the dishes when we asked, which made it difficult to understand the differences between them. Overall, it looks authentic and has character, but the food and service didn’t quite meet expectations given the pricing.

We had such a delicious meal here. The flavours were so unique and truly delicious. My girlfriend and I shared the Persian olive dip (must try, unlike any other dip I’ve had) and Noon paneer Gerdu (feta was so good) for starters. We then had Fesenjan and Gheymeh Nesar for the mains, and both were exceptional. The servings were very generous and left us well and truly full. The only request I’d make is for a little bit more meat in the dishes, but apart from that everything was perfect. Our waitress was so lovely aswell and provided excellent service. Overall we both agree we’ve found a true gem in Hornsby and will definitely be coming back!

Came here recently and loved it. We had the Ghormeh sabzi which was excellent - super rich flavours. Then yoghurt and bread too. All in it was less than $40 which I felt was very reasonable. Would recommend.
