The braciole was nice but could be better if the beef was fattier. The raviolo had a beautifully cooked casing and the fillings were very tender. The Elio pizza had a very nice base and crust, and the toppings had the right flavour combination. Overall, the food was amazing. Service could improve with more attention for people seated outside. The waitress failed to give us the drinks menu and did not let us know about the specials on the blackboard menu. The host came around for a chat though and we appreciated that.

Pippo’s already feels like one of those neighbourhood places you swear has been there forever. Step inside and you’re met with warm terracotta tones, the soft clink of glasses, and the comforting nostalgia of a tiny Sicilian trattoria. Sal, the co-owner, is the heart of the place—welcoming, generous, and clearly someone with a genuine love of feeding people well. That spirit shows up in the food. The veal and pork meatballs were beautifully tender and deeply savoury, easily a standout. The lemon and ricotta Basque cheesecake was bright, creamy, and just indulgent enough to end the night. We also loved the eggplant and anchovy dip, served with smoky wood-fired bread, and the pillowy gnocchi. And of course, the pizza: fluffy, blistered Napoli-style crusts that make this an easy new go-to takeaway. A thoughtfully curated wine list of Italian and Australian bottles rounds out a spot that already feels like a local gem. No reservations. If you arrive after 6.30 pm, expect a 15 minute wait for a table.

Delicious food, excellent service, and a lovely atmosphere. The pizzas were fresh and full of flavor. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this place!

Great rustic and authentic Italian pizza place. We dined in on a quiet Tuesday night to celebrate my birthday. Staff were very friendly, and the food came very quickly. Prawns with olive oil and herbs was fantastic, pizza was exactly what we wanted, and we finished with a comforting tiramisu, all for a good price. Worth going 👍

Pippo's was recommended to us by a friend and we had to go see Stefano's extravagant mustache in person. The woodfire pizza was amazing with a nice chew and flavourful toppings. If you have room for dessert, I recommend getting the chef special, which was a vanilla cream creme brulee dessert pizza at the time of this review. The atmosphere of the restaurant was vibrant and lively, like we were just a part of an Italian family. And to top off the atmosphere, we were lucky that it was someone's birthday because Stefano played the loveliest music on the accordion for them. Will definitely come back.
