Kudos to the chef from Milan. Chilly morning, hot woodfire, fresh pizza. This was an onsite gig at Porsche Willoughby. Dough proofing? Spot on. Temperature control? Look at that crust. Fresh mozzarella as God intended. I asked for a custom calzone, the chef kindly obliged. Simply superb. That cherry tomato pomodoro sugo, amazing. To literally top it off, their signature magherita on the calzone. I know who will be catering next at my parties.
I've been here twice now and I returned for the delicious wood fired pizza. The servings are made for sharing and there is a nice vibe when eating in, including great people watching from the outdoor tables. The staff are attentive and there are clean and stylish customer bathrooms. Would make for a good spot for lunch with friends. I particularly enjoyed the Chardonnay I tried and would love to try more of the well currated wine list.
We love Society Pizza! We live next door and get it all the time. My favourite is the capricciosa - loads of fresh toppings and never greasy. I also really enjoy the specials, particularly the ones with a green base as you can see in my photos :) the staff is lovely. Silvia is doing a fantastic job. It’s always a pleasure to pick up our orders. Grazie ragazzi!
We visited for dinner and, overall, left a little disappointed. I was looking forward to trying Society as it has excellent reviews. We tried some wine, the mac and cheese arancini, calamari, and the prosciutto e fichi pizza, but unfortunately none of the dishes really stood out, the flavours just felt a bit flat. The arancini was interesting, but not particularly memorable. On the positive side, the staff were lovely and the small outdoor seating area had a really nice vibe, tucked just off a main street, so you still get the hum of people walking by without it being hectic. Service was quick and friendly at first, but as the place got busier, we felt a bit rushed to pay and leave before we were ready. It was our first visit, and while the setting was charming, the food and wine list didn’t quite live up to expectations, prehaps it was an off day.
Loved my gluten free patate pizza, for the first time I don’t have the crack my head about the toppings. Will sure come again.
