Ever since watching Men in Black I had been curious to try pierogi dumplings. When I discovered the Polish Club has been renovated with underground parking I decided it was time to try out some Polish cuisine. I’ve now tried this place twice and its food is great for winter. The cheese and potato pierogi were tasty. On Sunday they had the 1/2 pork knuckle on special and that was cooked nicely with crispy pork crackling. The bbq sausages were nice as well. The Warsaw Cherry strudel was a nice desert.
A wonderful place to have a nice Polish and European style dinner. Its rustic and warm atmosphere is perfect for families and large gatherings. It was our first time trying the ‘Barszcz’, a clear vegan beetroot soup served in a mug, and it was nice! Slightly sour from either the lemon juice or vinegar, and was paired with a small mushroom dumpling. Personally, I’m a bigger fan of creamy vegetable soups, but this was a nice experience. For main, I had the pork knuckle which was tender, however the skin was slightly undercooked and chewy, but had bits of crunch to it which paired well with the mash potato and sauerkraut (finely cut raw cabbage). The dishes are served in large portions and definitely worth the value. Personally, loved the vibe of the place since they had a mini bar next to the restaurant, clean bathrooms, outdoor seating, and a huge lounge area next door. Overall, I would love to come back and try their other dishes ! Particularly their dessert :)
Had a great experience with the shared meat platter for 2. There’s plenty of other food on the menu that I want to try, will definitely come back. Live Jazz music on Saturday a nice surprise, a little too loud though. Love the small store inside with small good, meats and cakes.
Perfect. Atmosphere, food, service, price, value. Ample parking. Entry alittle tricky to find and drive down. Food is a Must try , albeit huge portions so once a year type of treat. There is also a mini mart near the lifts if you want a souvenir to remember the night.
We had dinner at STO Lat, the Polish restaurant tucked inside the Polish Ashfield Club, and it was genuinely excellent. Honestly, a very pleasant surprise. The food is clearly made with heart. The flavours are comforting, generous, and full of character. We tried the dumplings, the beetroot soup, and the beef ribs, all standouts. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully cooked, and it was a great way to experience something a little different from the usual go-to cuisines. The atmosphere is friendly and very family-oriented. It does get noisy, but in a lively, welcoming way rather than anything overwhelming. Service is simple and efficient, with a small team that knows exactly what they’re doing. The wine list is well chosen and pairs nicely with the food. Overall, it was a really enjoyable experience and one I’d happily repeat. Looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu.
