Don’t really know how this shop still runs… No body inside once walked in…2mins later… Staff walks back without any words. Order 2 things was complete different than what I said Couldn’t be bothered, paid the difference, grab the food and walk out. Shop is dark and untidy. Poor food packing and handling
I don't feel as though I'm exaggerating to say the Putney Ogalo is incredibly depressing. This was once a bustling, happy store - now it's grimy, feels unclean, lacks any soul or happiness (people running the store walk around with depressed faces, are surly, unattentive, and frankly don't seem to want to be there). This is "bad" to the point that Ogalo themselves need to step in - this is giving them a bad name and would certainly be pulling down the reputation of the Ogalo brand. How in 2026, and in Sydney this particular store could be surviving is beyond me. Food was pretty ordinary also! But the good news is there is a modern, happy, and similarly priced charcoal chicken place around the corner!
Fantastic Yummy, tasty Ogalo! Wow this store is spot on the chicken is cooked to perfection it’s spicy. Chips are okay. Burger was fantastic yummy and juicy! Second time ordering on Uber eats! Very satisfied! Putney store!
3.6 - I had a late lunch here, without knowing it was an Ogalo's. There was no signage to indicate this (I try to avoid Fast Food and just saw a Beef Burger written on chalkboard in the front). The chips were surprisingly amazing - hot, crispy and crunchy. Perfect. However, the Burger Bun was awful - tasted processed. The Beef Pattie tasted like it was flame-grilled, which is great! A tad too much sauce but the rest of the Burger was great. The bun, however, disintegrated as I tried to eat it, turning into mush from the sauce, and general poorer quality bread.
Great store, friendly people, good food and tasty. Chips are delicious too! The store/space is very dated. That said, food is great!
