I came here for trivia and dinner. This pub is tucked away from Oxford st, still a small stroll from the hustle and bustle, I asked Carlos for some food recommendations. I loved the salmon bowl. Was fresh and full of flavour. The pizza is good! It’s a nice pub the staff are friendly and welcoming! The food wait was so polite!
Great little spot, worth a visit! The staff are super friendly and accommodating for kids and dogs (big plus in Paddo area!) Food is great and the pricing is really reasonable for the food - the pizza and sides were great. Definitely a ‘best kept secret’ spot away from the influx of tourists on Oxford street, it’s a little haven for locals. Would absolutely recommend you stop by for a drink and some food.

Had an absolute blast at Captain Cook Trivia Night! The atmosphere was lively, the questions were clever without being impossible, and the whole night was run so smoothly. Huge credit to the quiz master Mando — easily one of the best hosts I’ve seen at a trivia night. He kept the energy high, made everyone laugh, and knew how to keep the game moving while still making every team feel involved. The mix of categories was spot on, with something for everyone, and you could tell a lot of effort went into the questions. Whether you’re serious about trivia or just there for a fun night out with friends, this quiz night is a winner. Highly recommend checking it out — and if Mando’s hosting, you’re guaranteed a great night!
We had a fantastic dining experience here. Carlos manages the venue with impressive professionalism, creating a smooth and enjoyable environment. Head Chef Gill’s attention to quality truly shows in the food. The pizzas were exceptional beautifully cooked and full of authentic flavour. Combined with the friendly team and inviting atmosphere, this place is definitely worth visiting.
