We live locally and decided to go and try it. Disappointed with the food as it is a nice venue with friendly staff. Their advertise as "woodfired" pizza, which isn't, it's a gas oven. The pizzas were absolutely terrible, which is a pity considering the nice venue. I order a prosciutto pizza with rocket, however, it was filled with a cheap watery balsamic vinegar which completely ruined it (the balsamic should be the reduction, and just a little), the dough was average. My wife order a prawn pizza, however, it had a sweet chilli sauce on it ( a lot of it ), the worse I ever tried, not sure where they got the idea from. We genuinely hope they can bring some expert to look at their pizza and lift their game, we would love for a local nice friendly pub with decent pizza. We have not tried the other foods.
I've been coming to the pub for a while now.. have got to know the team who are great with their customer service and are a good fit for the venue (Will, Bree and Paris are all excellent at their jobs and making customers feel welcomed and valued). They are the reason I keep returning back to visit. The venue is always well maintained and clean. The food is well priced and has a good variety of options and specials.
Love this place. Lovely staff. Nice to chill out with a drink, plenty of different options for seating, outdoor and indoor. Really looking forward to try their food on the menu as well.
Had dinner here on a Monday night and it was decent. We arrived around 7ish and ordered a parma and schnitty. The venue was pretty quiet, especially in the Fat Cat dining area. The schnitty was cooked well however the parma was burnt. The chips and sweet potato fries were seasoned very well, maybe a bit too well. I also want to mention that it is not the most kid friendly venue, staff are openly and loudly swearing when conversing with each other. I understand this place is a pub so this is more a heads up for parents that plan on bringing l little ones.
First time coming here! We were here in a Sunday night and had food. We just got had the schnitty and burger. Going to say, it was the best schnitty I have ever had and the burger was really good too. Couldn't fault anything. Staff, Atmosphere, food, the lot. We will be back for sure!!!
