Angus the manager, of the bistro/pub is excellent we love and adore him he is the best. A 10/10 service always remebered birthdays and has a kind heart - the service is great and it makes you I e been going to the pub with the family since I was a kid and he’s been a legend the whole time #obsessed, can’t wait to see him when I’m back visiting from Adelaide !!!
Double Bay terrific old style pub with lovely staff, really great bistro. Dog friendly. The food was super in price for the location, served quickly on a busy Thursday night at 7pm and 4 meals were terrific!.. great drink selection at good prices. I can't wait to return. It is so much better than the other pub Golden waste of money!
Three strikes – ignored, rushed, and treated oddly My Rating: 1 star I've now had three separate disappointing experiences at this pub that have made me decide not to return. First, on a previous visit, I was asked to vacate my table well before the reservation time, despite the fact that I had already planned to leave early. I was then given a brief apology from a young staff member, who seemed to mishandle the situation. Second, on a more recent visit, the service was simply bizarre. A bartender approached me and asked, "Are you okay?" rather than the standard "What can I get you?" This was a very strange and unwelcoming start to the evening. Third, and most frustratingly, during the same night, I was completely ignored for an extended period while waiting to be served upstairs. I eventually had to give up and pour my own water, leaving without ordering any food or drink. I've tried to give this place multiple chances, but the service is consistently poor and often strange. I won't be returning.
Great spot was pumping. Pizza was good. But please please please clear tables that we sat at in 2 locations there from the 330pm function that were still there at 7.
Really friendly staff. Great food and drinks. Nice place for a weekend lunch.
