5/5 Stars Awesome pub. Very old-school, but in the best possible way. A great spot to stop in after work and have a few schooners with a colleague. The staff and locals were super friendly, and it feels like you instantly become part of Sydney city local life. Would definitely go back in a big way.

Cool trendy corner pub with a good atmosphere. Steak was very tender and flavoursome. A bit too much sauce though, I’ll get it on the side next time. There has been menu changes since I was there last.

Unbelievable service from the team, unbelievable atmosphere from the beautiful vibes. Artie and Mark are sensational, best service and great food and drinks. I have been a few times now and always feel welcome. They even have comedy! I love going to the comedy nights, good excuse to see friends is inviting them along. Food comes fast, drinks are always sexy. Thank you old fitz for being you.

Family group of 6 up from Melbourne for a few days with 4 of the family attending the Phantom of the Opera show in the Royal Botanical Gardens. Wife and I who were not attending, so went to the Old Fitzroy Hotel that was near by in Wooloomaloo for a drink and to participate in the Trivia Competition that is held each Tuesday night at the hotel. Most enjoyable evening was had as we won a jug of beer and and a cap for the True or False part of the night and came second in Trivia and won a $50 voucher to use at the venue on the next trivia night. As we would not be in Sydney the following Tuesday week, we gave the $50 to a lovey dog named 'Eddie' that was sitting on the table next to us. His owners were most appreciative of our gesture. Great hotel with a real warm welcoming vibe. Looking forward to coming back next time we are in Sydney.

The Old Fitz has a local feel about it and the staff are friendly and helpful. We came on a Sunday for their Sunday Roast which was either Pork, Chicken or a vegetarian. The price is quite high and when we got it, it was lukewarm. We did bring this up with the staff and they gave us a round of drinks which was appreciated. We tried the scotch egg as well which was ok. They have live jazz on a Sunday which on the day we came were great musicians. There is also a theatre out the back which hold some amazing plays. I really enjoy this venue but this isn’t the first time I have been disappointed with the food.
