The Toxteth Hotel, nestled in a quite part of Glebe Pt Rd has the convenience of buses right at its doorstep. It offers a spacious and inviting areas to cater to diverse preferences. A Wednesday lunch, with the attentive Michael, both behind the bar and serving meals, stood out as a top-notch server, enhancing the dining experience. Thank You Michael! While the food leaned towards the pricier side for pub fare, the flavours were decent. The Prawn Linguine, though tasty, felt a tad lacking in generosity with only four prawns for its $30 price tag. The smallish, but satisfying Burrata with caramelised onion and tomato chutney formed a harmonious and delectable combination, priced reasonably at $19. The Chicken Wings, with buffalo sauce , pleased the palate with their spicy kick, though the serving size felt slightly modest at 6 pieces for $22. Moreover, the Chicken Schnitzel, a special priced at $20 (normally $27), delivered in tenderness and flavour despite its not overly massive, yet thick portion. The beer prices were on the higher end in comparison to other local pubs. A pint of Guinness at $17 (Thankfully good! Clean beer lines with proper pouring) A jug of Carlton Draught at $31 raised some eyebrows. Thank goodness for the freezing of excise on draught beer rates until February 2027 which provided a silver lining (It could have been worse) The service from Michael made up the extra star.

We sat outside on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon in June. It’s a lovely location, in a very nice spot on Glebe Point Road. We had the butter chicken naan-wich and the seafood laksa and both were excellent. A very nice Saturday lunch!

After our walk a group of us went to this pub for lunch at around 11:30am. The hotel is on Glebe Point Road, Glebe and is easy to find. It's quite large with a big bar. There are plenty of dining areas inside and a lovely dining area outside. As it was only Tuesday we had no problem finding tables and getting comfortable. We chose inside because it was air conditioned! It was boiling hot outside. The staff were lovely and helpful. We placed our orders quickly and they arrived at our tables not long after. A friend and I had chicken schnitzel. It was quite disappointing and a bit tough to eat. Someone else had problem with the potato salad. All quite edible but not up to the standard we expect at Sydney pubs. Because of its location and atmosphere we would probably go back but maybe try another dish.

Had my wedding reception here on the terrace and cannot fault a single thing or person. Everything came together so beautifully. Kayley, the events co-ordinator, is a dream to work with. Love love love and will forever hold a special place in my heart xxxxxxx
