Surprisingly yummy Asian food in this hidden gem. We had the Wagyu rendang, the pork belly share plate and fried rice and roti to share among 4. Love the food. Service was friendly and efficient, we sat upstairs with plenty of seating. Will def come back!
I’m a local and was a regular at the Woollahra. I have not been in a while. Came today for lunch and it was really average. Service was friendly and food was decent ( not outstanding) but the hotel is dirty and tired. Bench seating covered in crumbs etc and the tables were all smeary and dirty. Female toilets were pretty average too. At 12pm on opening you would certainly expect better. Such a great venue but badly needs a mop and wipe. Really disappointing…. Would return again if the place has a spring clean!
A gentle atmosphere tastefully designed with wonderful staff. We go frequently on Monday nights when we’re not on grandparent duty and savour the spring rolls and dumplings. Bella and Eva work hard and are pleasant and look after the bar with care - a credit to management. Byron and Dawn
Went there for TKCP charity Long Lunch last Friday, got there early (10am) to drop off the printing for the function and the pub wasn't open for service until 11.00. I had the absolute please to meet the wonderful Amelie, wow what an asset to the hotel. Amelie arranged with her manager to serve us early and was constantly engaging with us whilst setting up the bar for the days trading. Hopefully she gets the recognition she deserves as a lot of people are quick to criticise but rarely reward a staff member that goes over and beyond their job description which Amelie graced us with. Well done Woollahra Hotel and well done Amelie.
We went here for Mother’s Day as we heard good things. The beef burger was really good as was the fried rice. The beef massaman could be better, the beef was a little tough and the flavour a bit bland. The venue is really nice, traditional pub but with a modern renovation. Lots of seating areas with some cosy spots for groups. There is a lift to the upstairs dining for elderly or people with mobility difficulty.
